A senior Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee mocked the ability of European powers to combat world threats, saying they’ve become a “bunch a weenies.”
"You know I hate to say this, but I don't think that our European allies are going to be what balances off the evil forces in the world," Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) said during a question-and-answer session at the Young America Foundation's annual young conservative conference in Washington on Thursday evening.
"The only people I know who seem willing, who seem gutsy enough to fight, are the Poles, and the rest of the Europeans are a bunch of weenies as far as I'm concerned," Rohrabacher said. [Watch the full speech here.]
The Republican lawmaker called for a new world alliance to combat radical Islam and the rise of Communist China.
"My theory is that the allies, the alliance that is going to save the world in your generation's time is going to be an alliance between the United States, India, Japan — and here's the kicker — Russia," the 13-term congressman said.
"Russia will be our friend. You're getting that from a guy who, during the Cold War, killed Russians," Rohrabacher said.
It's safe to say he may be a tad on edge with reality.

Can we call it GDI?
I don't think that our European allies are going to be what balances off the evil forces in the world
Yeah man fuck those evil forces. The awful countries that overthrow governments and put in dictatorships for their own ends, who start illegal wars and who leave the country fractured and dangerous to everyone, who spy on friends and enemies alike, and don'- oh right.
He makes a bit of a point about the capability of European countries right now. Many of them lack both the political decisiveness and the military power to take on serious threats without support.
He's off his rocker about Russia though.
No, they're just more intelligent than you, shithead, and recognize the folly of running their countries into the dirt in a vain attempt to combat some nebulous foreign "evil".
Well you were happy enough with us when we were helping you in Afghanistan and Iraq....
There are Polish, German, British, Italian, Romanian and Georgian troops currently serving in Afghanistan alongside the US, with the troops of dozens of nations around the world having served in that conflict in the past in the fight against 'Radical Islam', whilst Russia and China have done fuck all, so this guy can fuck off.
As a Brit I also take added offense considered that there's not been one year since 1945 British troops haven't been involved in a conflict around the world. But apparently that makes us 'a bunch of weenies'.

What has he done about the evil shit the US does? Has he worked for the closing of Guantanamo or anything like that? If not, you sir are a bigger wanker.
To be fair a place like Guantanamo is going to take a long while to really close down.
Sure, but has he worked for its closing or is he a proponent of it staying open and stuff like that?

Did he miss the part where France kicked Islamist butt in Mali recently

I agree. There is a bunch of bad shit going on in Europe's back yard and they are just trying to ignore it because they are dependent on Russia for fuel. If only some European powerhouse had a bunch of cheap, clean energy they could produce with existing infrastructure!
Can we call it GDI?
not until Nod (or the church of mormon) tips their hand and forces them to go public, GDI was top secret

his map probably still says USSR, he must be terribly confused about why ukraine wants to break away from russia
danke Dana
13 terms. For fucks sake can we as a country get a fucking limit to how long you can serve in a public office. How fucking out of touch of reality can you be when you think we are closer to Russia then our friends in Europe. This just goes to show how broke a political system can be.
Jeez, what a dick.

Well yeah there's like less than 2 million of us here, our biggest defense is the fact that nobody knows where the fuck Slovenia is without really just going to town on a map.
Though even our army (of a whopping ~7300 active service members) has been deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Chad, Lebanon, Cyprus and the Golan Heights (thanks wikipedia). Our country also holds one of the 19 NATO Centres of Excellence (specifically mountain warfare), so this guy is still talking out of his ass.

Consider what he's talking about: an alliance fighting against the rise of Chinese power and Muslim extremists. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Russia would be okay with curbing both, since they've had many, many problems with both of those things. Of course I'm not even going to address the crazy that is the original idea, but yeah, just had to clear things up for you.

We'll start talking an alliance when they stop being a bunch of massive dick-holes.
And I've got no problem with China so long as they tone down the belligerent asshole routine.

I have no feelings about any of this, I'm just pointing out that the guy isn't some senile old man who's out of touch with the current political scene. His statement about finding a friend in Russia was very relevant to his original point.
13 terms of flowing diarrhoea shit.
He's right, the EU will never get into the Salty Spitoon.

1) Every country has a past; the US has one of installing dictatorships.
2) Illegal wars?
3) Iraq and Afghanistan are proven to be safer places now than they were.
4) All countries, including yours, spy on allies.
Any legitimate arguments you have?
Good on ya, calling our friends and allies "weenies"
I'm sure that makes us look grand!

If you bothered to read it in context, you'd realize he's not trying to insult the US or say his country is any better, but that it's hypocritical to label other nations as evil while your own does just as many fucked up things as they do

No, he was using an ad-hominem attack. If you're using that logic, then its hypocritical for him to call the congressman hypocritical.

Is this Operation Flashpoint now?
No, he was using an ad-hominem attack. If you're using that logic, then its hypocritical for him to call the congressman hypocritical.
I disagree, because he's only calling the US evil ironically to point out the hypocrisy in the congressman's statement
did he ever think that the EU was made for peaceful reasons
European countries need to get their own shit in order before they start slapping their dicks in other people's faces.
They're still recovering from the economic catastrophe caused by American banks selling everyone dirt, telling them it was pure gold.

really bad reading
