Once the birds are stabilized, they undergo several washings, feedings, and the collection of vital health information. They stay at the rehabilitation centers until their natural body oils are replenished and they are sufficiently recovered for release, the Fish and Wildlife Service said.
Rehabilitated birds are banded and released into suitable habitats along the coast where they are not likely to get oiled again.

They cut costs, causing them to ruin a beautiful coastline, destroy MANY people's lives, damage the fishing industry, hurt the tourism, killing some people and thousands of animals, and caused hundreds of jobs to be lost. Their greed put the Gulf and Louisiana in turmoil. BP deserves all of this. The head of BP actually had the nerve to say "I just want my life back. :downs:" He's one of the most pathetic, idiotic, inconsiderate people I've ever seen. He's a shame of the UK.
