I see an awful lot of youtube videos with the tag Machinima stuck on it. I have to admit that I have no idea what Machinima is. I found a Machinima.com, but I'm not sure what it's about. Can someone explain?

Machinima are movies made with game engines. Or movies from videogames.
The actual definition (Saw it on a Discovery Channel special of some sort) is a film made in a pre-rendered environment. In other words, the two posts above me are right. It's basically filming in a video game.
