Snow has fallen in Northern Vietnam for the first time in many years.
The snow caused a five-hour traffic jam as people drove into the mountainous provinces of Lao Cai and Ha Giang to see the wintry flurries.
The weather system responsible for the snow has also brought some unusual weather to other parts of the region.
This is normally the dry season, but torrential rain has been lashing Laos, Vietnam and southeast China.
Oudomxay in Laos reported 142mm of rain in a 24 hour period and Zhanjiang in China’s Guangdong province, reported 102mm. For Zhanjiang, this is three times the amount of rain that is expected in the entire month of December.
The torrential downpours have caused flooding in parts of the region, which has inundated peoples' homes and made roads impassable.
Conditions across the region are expected to improve over the next few days. The rain will slowly edge eastwards and subside.
The comments are telling me the same thing.
Since the NOAA deep ocean probes were introduced in 2001 the ocean have only grown colder. This year alone the arctic ice sheet has increased by 50%, yet they will tell you it's global warming.
These people that believe this are what is wrong with the world today. They are willing to believe things on emotion and not use rational thought to think things through for themselves. These same people that have been convinced by Government Pseudo Science stand behind the liars and demand that the rest of the world follow them into the abyss of false information.

I don't believe in conspiracies, you nutcase yourself. I believe in science. And there is no scientific evidence that global warming is caused by humans.
It's really too bad our brains don't have some kind of natural self-destruct phenomenon that instantly causes a fatal aneurysm if you ever become this stupid of a fuck.
It's true. It's been pouring around this area the past few days.

Goddamn where do these idiots come from? Scientists have never said we were the cause of it, only that we were accelerating a natural phenomena.

Maybe if they'd used it sooner, Battlefield Vietnam could have had a snow map too.
White Phosphorus =/= Snow

Meanwhile there hasn't been any snow here and they said there won't be any this winter for the first time in years...

It has been raining here in the northern Sweden this and the week before in fucking December, nothing wrong here move along...
The jet streams are moving south, and with them the cold weather. Things are just getting weirder and weirder.
We have a fucking blizzard that dumps a foot of snow on us and it all melts less than a week later. Now Vietnam has snow. What the fuck?
All the snow here is going to melt right before xmas, why does it have to rain at 52f during winter here now. :( We used to have heavy snowfall before Halloween.
Massive storms, Snow in wierd places and lack of snow where there should be snow.
Current prognosis: Yep, we're fucked!

Sorry had to chime in here, oceanograpphy student and all.
With regards to that deep ocean probes claim, yes you will see an increase in cold water at depth, but only because the sea ice is melting faster and as we all know cold stuff is dense so it sinks. These cold deep ocean currents form part of the global conveyor belt circulating water throughout the globe. So in increase in sea ice melting means we will see colder water at depth.
Do note that most of the snow appear on the highlands, which are over 1500-2000m high and is only <5% of the country. The lowlands have yet to be affected. (So maybe go climb a mountain or smth)
If the snow hits our lowland, the entire China might probably be buried under several meters of snow.
Too bad I'm like a thousand miles away and is in a deep pile of assignment. Never seen snow in my life.
it's cold as shit over here pls send blankets :c
It's in the northern Mountain areas of vietnam. The south is still warm and raining.
