I had the idea for doing this a few years back, but only recently did I think of posting a video of it on youtube. Basically, what it is is slowing down the game while speeding myself up, and shooting people. It's really, really fun to do.
The config:
sv_cheats 1
phys_pushscale 999999
bind \ "impulse 101"
bind p "sv_maxspeed 320; cl_forwardspeed 400; cl_backspeed 400; cl_sidespeed 400; sv_friction 4; host_timescale 1"
bind [ "sv_maxspeed 32000; cl_forwardspeed 40000; cl_backspeed 4000; cl_sidespeed 40000; sv_friction 30; host_timescale 0.01"
bind ] "sv_maxspeed 3200; cl_forwardspeed 4000; cl_backspeed 4000; cl_sidespeed 4000; sv_friction 20; host_timescale 0.1"
Looks fucking sexy.
Except you're playing HL Source which is a no no.
Reminds me of Smod where you toggle it so that you can freeze time at the press of a button.
It's so fucking dramatic and beautiful and violently awesome at the same time.

Yeah, well, if I could do it in regular HL than this would be great, but unfortunately the goldsrc engine doesn't have any of the features required to create such a situation as observed in this video. I may make a HL2 version of this, though, which would be even cooler.

What the hell is wrong with HLS? Just because it doesn't auto-save doesn't make it bad. It has ragdolls and all that good shit.
I wanted to see you get hit by your own bolt.
Shits fun for like 5 minutes

Nothing happens - it goes right through you. Same with a rocket.
what does phys_pushscale do?
what does phys_pushscale do?
It causes NPCs' ragdoll movements to be highly exaggerated after they die, causing them to fly through the air at high speeds rather than fall over.

Enjoy your lack of mods.
When you went right infront of the crossbolt that was fucking epic

Okay.
Does this workin Half Life 2 as well?

Does it use the source engine?
Does it use the source engine?
The Source engine uses the host_timescale command too. OP's script works in HL2 to some extent.
I was just now attempting to adjust the script to function correctly in Half-Life 2, but I was experiencing difficulties relating to moving fast enough. I cannot seem to control the player's movement to as high a degree as in Half-Life: Source. Might anyone have a suggestion as to a solution to this problem?
Lol fucking sweet :3:
