• Possibly buying a Mercedes 190E, C Class

So my parents are wanting a new car and they found a 1987 Mercedes 190E for 900 US Dollars. It apparently needs some work. The trunk is letting in water when it rains and this is missing the star. The car was not taken care of and wasn't used most of the time so there should be other problems. It apparently runs and drives fine. I don't know the exact model other than the fact that its a 190E. Would this be a good car for the money?
It'll end up costing more money in the long run. Mercedes parts are expensive, and if it wasn't taken care of then you'll likely run into problems. You can get an older (~year 2000) crown vic in decent shape for around $1500-2000, if you can afford to pay that much extra.
If a Mercedes needs work, then prepare to pay a pretty penny for the fixes.
Nevermind, the car needs TONS of work.
no
a $900 Mercedes is like a $9,000 Mercedes if you consider the money needed to make it not suck
Bad idea.
How about a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 in good condition?
