(CNN) -- Ten troops -- including seven Americans -- were killed in Afghanistan on Monday, making it one of the deadliest days for coalition forces since they entered the country in 2001, officials said. Also Monday, an American citizen and another person died in an attack on a police training center in Kandahar, the U.S. Embassy in Kabul said. The 10 slain troops included three NATO-led service members killed in southern Afghanistan. Two of them died after a roadside bombing attack and another was killed in small arms fire, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said. In eastern Afghanistan on Monday, an improvised explosive device killed five NATO troops, according to an ISAF news release. In a separate operation, a service member was killed by small arms fire in eastern Afghanistan, and another was killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan. An ISAF spokesman said seven of the 10 slain NATO troops were Americans. In the attack on the police training center in Kandahar, one suicide attacker driving a Toyota Corolla struck the center's tower and two suicide attackers who attempted to enter the center detonated themselves at the facility's gate, the Afghan Interior Ministry said. All three attackers were killed. "Our sympathies go out to those who lost loved ones in this callous attack. The United States will continue to stand with our Afghan partners to fight terrorism and help the Afghan government provide security, safety and prosperity to its people," the U.S. Embassy in Kabul said.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/06/07/afghanistan.southern.violence/index.html?eref=igoogle_cnn

ye lets force soldiers to go back to their homelands and show that every death that happened in Afghan was worthless
Dammit, every time a serviceman dies I always go to thinking that my best friend and his brother will be in afghanistan "fighting terrorism" as well. RIP brave soldiers.
RIP both Coalition and Insurgents, died fighting for their families and what they thought was right.
None of the Insurgents actually died fighting, they blew themselves up. [editline]05:28PM[/editline] On purpose.
We should just leave Afghanistan to rot in its own filth.
10 deaths isn't going to make a difference you know.
None of the Insurgents actually died fighting, they blew themselves up. [editline]05:28PM[/editline] On purpose.
It was a fight, and they're pretty fucking dead.
10 deaths isn't going to make a difference you know.
That's not the point...
We should just leave Afghanistan to rot in its own filth.
Let's look at some statistics shall we? About 1812 total deaths according to this source Now, let's look at some other wars shall we? Soviet war in Afghanistan, exact same situation that we're in now. 14,453 total killed on the Soviet Side. Quit moaning about this current war.
Murder a few dozen of them and see how they like it.

Soldiers are using better equipment than 20 years ago. 2. There isn't a world super power (like the United States) giving the Afghans weapons and support in fighting those that occupied their country.
Oh the soviets did an awful job in afghanistan even before the US gave them some Milans and stingers. They would massacre civilians, whole villages and all to try to suppress the partisan insurgency.

And if anyone's wondering, currently casualties are higher for the Coalition and Afghanistan than the Taliban and Insurgents. Insurgents have suffered roughly 15,000 casualties, Coalition and Afghanistan 16,000.
(CNN) -- Ten troops -- including seven Americans
Hey CNN, thanks for the great reporting. Now how about you report WHO THE OTHER THREE WERE, morons. CBC is reporting a Canadian soldier's death, but I don't know if he was a part of this or not.
:can: in before militant atheists
What the fuck is your problem? Nobody gives a shit about the phrase "god bless", it's a figure of speech.
Hey CNN, thanks for the great reporting. Now how about you report WHO THE OTHER THREE WERE, morons.
FYI, the "C" doesn't stand for "Canadian."
What the fuck is your problem? Nobody gives a shit about the phrase "god bless", it's a figure of speech.
calm down

The Afghan Government was aligned with the Soviets. :V And, I have no idea where you got your statistics. According to Wikipedia, between 2001 and 2009 roughly 31,000 insurgents have been killed, with estimates up to 90,000 now due to the recent advances in Afghanistan and the fact that the Taliban buries their dead very quickly to avoid accurate death counts. That's compared to the roughly 7,500 deaths in the Coalition.
