being crafty in video games is one of the best skills to have. The first kill with the sort of "death from above" was nice.

Do it. It's still very much alive. I was really surprised at how many players it still has.
I am now reinstalling this. I remember wrecking people quite a bit.
I always seem to get 100ms ping in a lot of Australian servers that are quite close near me but it never fucks with the gameplay, has that always been a technical glitch or something
I just wish BC2 had prone but in some regards its good they left it out as camping is a little more noticeable and it encourages players to go on foot rather than stay at their post

I don't think the lack of prone prevents camping but more so promotes running around and moving from cover.
I can only imagine the terror of turning around to see a soldier charging at you with a whirring drill raised before him. That, or watching him plonk down a highly explosive mine, then calmly proceed to shove a drill in it.

The blow torch, which is the same as the drill from BC2, kills people. You just toast them rather than blunt force trauma.

When it's successful it's way more satisfying than a knife kill. It would be awesome to get some footage of me playing from someone else's perspective!
