i just can't imagine being so fucking close to this thing, I mean this guy must have adrenaline levels off the fucking charts
for a second i also thought that he was dead on the ground but then he stood up and started running
When my dad was deployed in afghanistan he said they got used to the rockets. They used to hear whistles all the time and they would pop over the base, outside it, etc. He woke up one day with a loud ass whistle, and then one of the baracks caught on fire from it.
He handled it far, far better than I would have.
My god, that place has gone to shit. Just imagine standing on a rooftop in your neighborhood, minding your business when all of a sudden you nearly get blown to bits by a missile attack just because someone in your country is being a dickhead. God damnit, that must really fucking suck for the residents. The surviving ones that is.

There is no business in being there because every sane person would have left.
Wow, I've only ever seen videos like these when shitty RPGs have been used in Iraq or something. It's a shitload scarier when the rockets have a lot more precision and power.
also mind you, this is done in residential areas, not just some wasteland fields
imagine some heavy populated western suburb/city center getting demolished like this.
It reminds me of scenes in Cloverfield, which makes it even more surreal
It is unbelievably surreal to know that this is present time. When you watch WWII clips, you are still astonished, but have a relieving fact of it being in the past, you do not have that fact here.
That was intense.

That's the sober, pragmatic judgement of a distant observer. The footage is from a village, not a big city. Imagine you're living in a country where warfare is in the news every day. You LIVE there, it's your home. It would mean giving up your house, your possessions, your occupation,t his is a regular place with family run businesses. Chances are all your friends and family are right there with you. Just because war breaks out doesn't mean all civillians just pack their things and leave. Not everyone has a place to go to. Not everyone wants to leave their life behind. Not everyone can grasp the gravity of the situation from within. Blaming the civillians is fucking retarded.
HOLY FUCKING HELL SHITBALLS CUNT FACE
Why hasn't the U.N got involved yet to stop this stuff?
I heard a story from a freelance journalist who had returned from Syria 3 months prior that when he went back again that all the friends he had made were then dead.

They've tried but it's hard when the president of Syria is backed by Russia and China. They can only do so much. At this point the rebels are slowly winning thankfully.
Why is Russia and China even helping him? Like what does he have to give them?

Fuck.
That's literally demolished the next block over from the block he's on.
this is just a few rockets from a bm-21 grad
now imagine an entire battery of them, or multiple batteries, on one location, firing for effect.

relevant, this a video of syrian bm-21s firing
Just think, change in the wind, and he could have been dead....
This guy deserves a medal.

more like if they were aiming for a specific spot rather than just indiscriminately blowing up their own cities.
Christ alive, I never realized how loud those things were. I can't imagine how bad his ears must have been damaged.
See you guys laugh when they all scream "Allah hu akbar" but lets face it: its clearly a good stress reliever.
I would have shit myself after that first rocket.
FUCK
thanks for fucking telling me it was loud
Holy fuck.
Everyone who is their has the biggest balls of anyone today.
I hope not too many people were hurt.
Sad, the guy was enjoying a good time looking out the in the sky, enjoying some peace and quiet...and he nearly died. He properly knew people who lived where that rocket hit.
This is why the U.N needs a reform to do something about it.
can someone explain why China and Russia Are backing Syria?

In every single fucking thread this get's mentioned. Allāhu Akbar is pretty much the Arabic version of "Oh my god!". It translates too ""Allah is greater" and people often use it when they are in either very happy situations, or very stressful situations.
I want to set up an "art" piece in a museum somewhere called "The Sounds of War". I want it to be for people who have a particular disconnect from all of this, so you and I. Not war vets who have been through this, but people who want to know. I want to set up a circular room with chairs in the center, and I want to set up speakers all around the circle, with sparkers, smoke machines and heaters, as well as a few specific smells. I want to sit people in this room and have artillery, car alarms, screams of people and the smells and sounds associated with it all going during all of this. I want to see if it truly affects people who are disconnected, or if we've all been desensitized by what we watch.
While all of us were either sleeping/out or doing something fun, this man was ducking in cover for his fucking life.
The world is a crazy, crazy place.
