[B][U]Shoutpunch: A love story.[/U][/B]

Hey Guys. You may have seen our Shoutpunch escapades before. If you haven't, here's a description.

Shoutpunch is an internet radio station that was originally thought of by OogalaBoogala. In collaboration with Leach139, Shoutpunch was created. Secretly by Luaduck created to make himself and Bengley internet famous. Then Luaduck hastily took it away from OogalaBoogala to make himself even more famous. I happened to ride shotgun in this, but, not for popularity or anything of the sort, but, because I really enjoy sharing music. Sadly it died. Then came Shoutpunch relaunch #2; Or how I stopped worrying about quality so I can be e-famous, sadly though, it died. So then we had Shoutpunch relaunch #3, where a young German lad named Tu154M joined the team. Tu154M was an experienced DJ in real life. Relaunch #3 was successful, but, then, it died. The following Christmas, Tu154M and myself decided that we wanted to share the music more, so we created Shoutpunch relaunch #3.5, which, Luaduck tried to take over due to fame being had. There were many arguments, some being that Luaduck was the original creator, but, Tu154M and I argued that he's just in it for Respected User status. Luaduck, being out of servers decided to turn to a guy named Lego399 to host an Icecast station on it. We convinced Lego399 to not listen to luaduck, and thus, he saw the light, and gave us the server to us. Thus, Shoutpunch relaunch #4 happened. Then, it died.

So, tired of all this nonsense, Tu154M, Lego, and I banded together to make the most complete Shoutpunch experience ever. Complete with an actual website and AutoDJ. Shoutpunch #5 was brilliant. After about five months, due to conflicted schedules, lessened activity, and Australian internet and broken MetaTags, Shoutpunch #5 sadly came to a bitter-sweet end. MUFC2007's whole giveaway thing didn't help either. :emo:

[B][U]Shoutpunch Relaunch #6[/U][/B]

So, recently, I, Shogunner, moved back to the USA from Australia. Thus, I got myself good internet for the first time in three years. Inspired, I thought about Shoutpunch and the good times we had. I thus had the sudden drive to do radio again. Tu154, Lego, and I brainstormed for a good while. We all agree'd that our new plan to save Shoutpunch and officially be the greatest bestest amazingest awesomest rootin' tootin' Facepunch Radio Station was golden. We genuinely think that this will work.

[B][U]Whats going to be so different?[/U][/B]

Well first off, we're doing away with our freelance schedules, and implementing actual European, American, and Australian time slots. We'll have our prime-time shows on weekdays, and our part-time shows on weekends.

Our prime-time shows will air generally around 4PM to 12AM for everyone. Obviously, if you live in Alaska or Abu Dhabi it might be a bit harder to catch regularly scheduled programming, and the show you hear at 10PM in New York City will be different from the 10PM show in Berlin. Of course, it's not going to be straight DJ'ing, as, this is internet radio, and it'll be near impossible without 120% dedicated team. Thus, we're completely revamping our AutoDJ.

Themed shows and gimmicks are going to be huge parts of primetime shows. Examples of what I'm talking about are as follows,

"The Monday Night Debate with Shogunner."
"Electro Friday with Tu154M"
"The Alternative Show with Lewy Judge"
"Headbang Central - The Metal Show with _____"

Guests are another big thing we'll be implementing. We'll be having talk shows regularly. I'm particularly excited about my monday night show, we're I'll be trying to get two people with radically different opinions on one topic on the show via Skype, so we can have a fun discussion. For example, my first guests which I've talked to already are Icemaz (Gmod.com Admin) and Fptje (Head updater for DarkRP SVN) to talk about Gmod, and it's future.

Call-ins and Shoutouts will also be a big thing. Listener interactivity will be a huge thing for us. Game shows and random call-ins will allow listeners to win cash prizes or Steam gifts up to 20 dollars in value every week.

The news will also be revitalized. No more depressing news coming out of war torn _____ from CNN. We're only doing positive tech-savvy and internet related news now. We have a special news guys named OneWar on the job.

[B][U]Weekends[/U][/B]

Shoutpunch weekends are going to be as unconventional as ever. We'll be accepting post-launch DJs this way.

DJs will have their first live shows during the weekend, and if we like them, we'll keep them. We'll also have part time DJ's who don't have the time but want to DJ have shows on the weekends. Like alot of actual radio stations.

We'll also try to work out a DJ Accounts system, thus enabling us to let completely random people who have mics and music try Dj'ing out, and if they suck, or the IRC doesn't like em, we boot them out.

We'll also be doing a Bi-Weekly podcast, with wrap-ups of the previous weeks and segments on games, tech, movies, shows, and reviews.

[B][U]What we're looking for.[/U][/B]

Currently, our DJ base is small. We have only a few official DJ's so far.

What you need.

- A [B]Good[/B] microphone.
- Atleast 1,000 tracks. (No one likes GTA radio in excess)
- A nice personality and voice.

We're not working out schedules just yet.

Currently, Shoutpunch doesn't have any deadline, but, expect it before 2011.

An hour every (Monday?/Tuesday?/Saturday?/Sunday?) of your favourite music, and sadly, everyone elses. I encourage people to call in and give song requests. I play the top of the various charts, as well as new music from all generes. I may have guest hosts from time to time. We'll also be featuring news, in the forums, and from around the world.
