Near-future shooter Metro: Last Light will ricochet onto UK shop shelves on 17th May 2013, the game's new publisher Deep Silver has announced. That's three days after the US date of 14th May.
Full article here: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-01-metro-last-light-release-date-announced-by-new-publisher
I've been looking forward to this. Too bad I'll be away that day, but it's something to loo forward to.
Thanks for forcing me to use a VPN to play a game I've payed full price for because I am not in a certain region.
yeah it's getting kinda dumb considering it's all digital these days.
I read it as 14th of March and got super-excited. Re-read, and now I'm still excited, but a little less than super-excited. :(
yeah it's getting kinda dumb considering it's all digital these days.
I think video games have been digital for a while
One of my most anticipated games for this year. Very excited!
One of the best singleplayer FPS' I've ever played. I can't fucking wait.
So I know I'm gonna dumbs for this but whatever How "spooky" are the Metro games? Is it like FEAR spooky or Amnesia spooky?
So I know I'm gonna dumbs for this but whatever How "spooky" are the Metro games? Is it like FEAR spooky or Amnesia spooky?
Not overly, but 2033 is incredibly atmospheric
Hopefully more Seenging Paips. [sp]Kidding I fucking loved Metro[/sp]
So I know I'm gonna dumbs for this but whatever How "spooky" are the Metro games? Is it like FEAR spooky or Amnesia spooky?
Depends on how easily you're spooked. As my learned friend above said, 2033 was very oppressive and it trained you to equate darkness with bad things. Even the sections above-ground, where it's comparatively bright, have a sense of urgency - not only because of the bitches but the gas mask runs out very quick and you find yourself rummaging about for filters. The section in the library, I remember, was rather underwear-moistening.
Loved 2033. Can't wait what kind of action comes up in Last Light, would love to play it.
same day as my schools prom Now i have to decide what to pull an all nighter on Decision decisions
So I know I'm gonna dumbs for this but whatever How "spooky" are the Metro games? Is it like FEAR spooky or Amnesia spooky?
It is in some places like the "seengeeng piapez", however I think most of the fear comes from the oppressive atmosphere and in some cases, without spoiling the game too much, certain enemies can be pretty terrifying, not so much due to how they look but more in a panicky way, kind of in an amnesia (although to a lesser extent)
Fuck. Yeah. Can't wait to jump back into the most atmospheric first-person game scenario since STALKER.
Metro 2033 is such a good game. Can't wait for this. On my first playthrough of metro 2033 I didnt even realise [sp]that the dark ones were trying to talk to you the whole time, and that they really wanted peace[/sp]. Found that out and replayed the game on Ranger Hardcore. A really great experience. Its great fun to play stealthily through too.

There's no jump scares or anything, but the game had an incredibly nice atmosphere and built a lot of suspension. In other words, it took me a couple weeks to man up and finish the game on my first playthrough.

I think this would be one of the games I would most like to try with an Oculus rift.
I've had this preordered for months, glad to finally see a release date.
I wonder if the English version of the second book "Metro 2034" would be out by then too
Hopefully more Seenging Paips. [sp]Kidding I fucking loved Metro[/sp]
I've also heard tales of singing pipes. What bullshit.
Woohoo that's my birthday! That'll be a good day.
I don't know about you, but I found enough filters and masks to not ever have to worry. I never died from exposure.
I had a problem where I couldn't drop nearly-used filters, and I couldn't pick up more nor buy more to replace them. Had to stop changing them manually to keep my vision clear in combat. Dreadfully annoying when there were so many lying about, tantalizingly out of reach because Artyom has slight retardation :c
should I get a Metro 2033 (part 1.?) for Xbox 360 or PC.?
should I get a Metro 2033 (part 1.?) for Xbox 360 or PC.?
If your PC can handle it then by all means go for that. The 360 version has lower-resolution textures and simplified lighting (but still looks really good).
Oh boy, my rig is terribly outdated, i did manage to run the first game, but barely, do you know if last light will be much harder to run?
same day as my schools prom Now i have to decide what to pull an all nighter on Decision decisions
Go to prom, have great night with friends, alcohol, possibly get laid, have a great time. Then play Last Light, it'll make the night/next day even better.
