Dr Dre has revealed that he is working on an instrumental gip-hop album about the planets that make up the solar system.
The rapper and producer said he had been thinking about the record for “a long time” and that he wanted to call it 'The Planets'.
“It’s just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like,” he said in an interview with Vibe magazine. “I’m gonna go off on that.
“Just all instrumental. I’ve been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet.”
Dr Dre didn't unveil a release date for the record, but said he was working on the album during spare time and that it would feature special surround sound.
The rapper is currently putting the finishing touches to his long-awaited album 'Detox'.
The follow-up to 1999's '2001' is due to be released later this year after a string of delays.[/release]
In other news, Dr. Dre still smokes weed every day.

Hmmm... "Space, the final frontier. Sp-sp-space.. The-the-the f-f-f-final front-front-fronteir..."
I don't like this :ohdear:.
Uh gip-hop?

If it sounds anything like this, it will be another album added to his already successful producing career.

Sounds cool actually
Interesting.
So it will be a completely silent album? :v:
If it's rap-styled, it'd probably suck.
But if it's an ambient record, then it'd be interesting.

Planets, how do they fucking work?
So it will be a completely silent album? :v:
I know this is a joke, but try looking up some of the sounds that are picked up from different planets.
They are creepy as hell.
Planets, how do they fucking work?
Large groups of dust and asteroids clump together over time, each with their own, tiny amount of angular momentum.
Over time the mass of the asteroid glob becomes great enough to start actively drawing in more matter at an ever increasing rate (when it attracts more matter this adds to its mass which effectively increasing its gravitational pull drawing in even more matter). After this point the protoplanet starts very rapidly picking up more and more matter as it wizzes around its star finally assuming a relatively spherical shape. A planet has now formed.
Contrary to popular belief: money does NOT make the world go around. It is, in fact, angular momentum that does this; the total angular momentum of a planet once it has formed is the addition of the angular momentum of every little particle that was used to create that planet.
Science'd.
uh how about he releases Detox already the lazy old fuck
I am super excited for Detox. Its only been like (10 years) since it was SUPPOSED to come out.
Whenever I 'hear' Jupiter it sounds so... right. Like... that's what I'd expect it'd sound like even if I'd never 'heard' it before.
It sounds so... immense. It's awesome.
Well, he is only about 80 years late.

I really doubt it's a real recording. Sounds like a synthesized sound. It's just too clean
