They have very different styles. For example if you watch bunnyhop's critical analysis of the MGS games , he tends to focus a lot more on themes and ideas, while Matthew dove deeper in terms of mechanics and game design. You can even see the same thing in this video versus Bunnyhop's Dark Souls video.
I would say that if you like Bunnyhop, you'd likely enjoy Matthew. I know I do anyways.

Also I want to point out that if this is your first time watching Matthew, I wouldn't recommend this video. His videos are usually more concise, these commentary ones are more lax and I would think are really only meant for ones that are already a fan of him. You know, the ones that would watch a six hour video.

Well, his "critique" videos are different from his usual reviews in that they're not really supposed to be fair. For example he absolutely tore apart Dark Souls 2, while admitting that he actually enjoyed it. He often acknowledges when he's nitpicking, plus the reason I enjoy watching his videos is because of how thorough he is.
His videos are good to just sit and relax too, so long and entertaining
Time to marathon this shit. I really value Matthewmatosis's input on games, so 6 hours of his opinions is awesome.

How was it nitpicky? It raised some very valid points.
I wouldn't say "game is a pretentious mess that went through production hell so long noone knows what it's about anymore" is nitpicky.

I tried replaying Bioshock Infinite not too long ago (haven't bothered with it ever since I finished it literally two days after release) and the combat is fucking trash. Literally everything that hits you will shake the camera in every direction, making it near impossible to actually land headshots or even hit some enemies.
Bioshock Infinite is a mediocre mess. There's not much to it that saves the title.

This guy does in depth critique, that is a good thing not a problem. He's talked for 1 hour 30 minutes straight about MGS4, that's his thing. He's very good at it. If you're not into that sort of thing then fine but don't confuse nitpicking with critiquing. Plus, all his points on BS:I were completely valid, it wasn't like he was criticizing frame by frame animations or the lip sync being slightly off for a few frames in a specific conversation.

It tells you something about the length of a video when i have to question if that's five minutes thirty seconds or five hours thirty minutes. Hopefully soon i'll have the time to sit and marathon this, i love his videos and regularly go back through them when i've got nothing else to watch.
