Prominent anti-vaxxer denied entry into Australia due to 'dangerous' views
One of the world's most prominent anti-vaccination advocates has been denied entry to Australia due to his "dangerous" views.
Kent Heckenlively was planning to visit Australia later this year for an international tour calling on parents to stop vaccinating their children.
Immigration Minister Peter Dutton made the decision to deny Mr Heckenlively entry, saying his views were not welcome in Australia.
"These people who are telling kids, telling parents that their kids shouldn't be vaccinated are dangerous people," he told Sydney radio station 2GB.
"We have been very clear in having a look right through this particular case, and it is clear to me that it is not in our national interest that he should come here."
I wouldn't say it's about having dangerous views, instead this was about the preaching of dangerous views, which is what the trip was dedicated towards.
Policing people on their thoughts isn't something I can justify, instead their actions or intentions

While I don't disagree with you, I would argue it is about dangerous views. Australia is well within their right to deny him access because of the views he hold.

I think if you're thoughts can harm or even kill others police them. Antivaxxing is dangerous no matter what it's just a fact

The trouble with that is that the definition of a harmful thought can be easily politicized and hijacked by other parties. For instance, I don't think anyone in their right mind would trust the current US administration with determining which ideas are harmful to spread.
Its one thing to "have" dangerous views. It's quite another to publicly encourage and advocate said views and base an entire campaign on spreading them. Peter made the right call denying this idiot entry, if you ask me.

The anti-vaxxer movement is dangerous, people need to stop treating cases like this as if it's just someone having different opinions. You have people going around the world, encouraging others to cause harm to themselves and others (while conveniently enriching themselves at that expense) with deliberately misleading 'evidence' in order to convince them to eschew medicine, thus putting themselves and others at higher risk of spreading illness.
I heard funnily enough that some doctors say you shouldn't Vax. Forcing upon peoples belief because they don't vax, just because they have different reasons not too, whether its' research of such or you don't know the full story. Pro Vax is just propaganda. But, it's more of a "oh no, anti vax is pr••••••a too!"
I do believe this whole anti-vax/vax is more about children then adults. Even if I just post a link to many
reasons why you shouldn't vaccinate then good luck crapping on beliefs. I'm sharing, not creating mass
hysteria and paranoia. It's just information. That's about it.

yada yada.
Because even if I just post multiple list of links, then it's just really confusion.
I haven't even been to a doctor for so so many years, not to get a vacc or whatever, not even a accident or something serious. Guess I'm lucky.
Edit: lol proporwhatever is censored? Really?

The censor here is broken, not sure why it still exists.
But by all means, except in the case of allergies and having a weak immune system, can you describe to me the problem with vaccinations?
I can describe quite a few reasons why you should get vaccinated, namely to curb the spread of diseases. Herd immunity, when a large portion of a population is immune to a disease, makes it hard to spread and infect the vulnerable. Without it, people who couldn't get vaccinated, be it they too young/old/sick, are more prone to get a easily preventable disease and harmed.
Do you know how many babies die a year in the US due to declining herd immunity?
Im not trying to attack you, im just trying to ask some questions. There is a lot of hysteria out there, but it is important to stay above it.
If a guy comes to you and says the earth is flat, then says a whole bunch if things quickly to confuse you, you wouldn't put your arms up and say "perhaps the earth really is flat." that's not how this works
