lol. Everyone stop posting here so I'm not reminded of how late and uncool I am.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1046190-Captain-Intense-amp-The-Dude-Revolutionise-PC It makes me laugh when they say "One of the problems with bringing PC gaming to a mobile platform is replicating the mouse and keyboard user interface... and we've solved that" and later on it shows the laptop with a mouse next to it.
Aw, I'm late.
I hate prebuilt gaming computers, but this does look cool.
I hate prebuilt gaming computers, but this does look cool.
Prebuilt gaming laptops are pretty much the only good prebuilds.
Razer has a tendancy to overprice everything they make although they're mouse's are quite good, imagine if alienware and razer got together.............dear god it would be Apple 2.0!
That Chinese guy is priceless. I'd buy one of these but there probably expensive as fuck.
The only thing I like about this is the keys on that keyboard, but you can get an actual keyboard that does the same thing for your Desktop.
The keyboard thing is pretty rad.
Razer has a tendancy to overprice everything they make although they're mouse's are quite good, imagine if alienware and razer got together.............dear god it would be Apple 2.0!
more like overpriced shiny black polished metal apocalypse
So exactly what kind of benefit does this have over regular laptops? Having little screens for keys is a useless feature and probably amounts to like 40-50% of the total price tag, like how many PC players actually look at the keyboard while they play? I admit it looks nice, but it's not an "edge", more like a cosmetic feature. Plus I often forget the layout of keys on laptops and devices I use rarely and have to quickly look at the keys to know where to begin typing, and this device would make that very difficult.
I wonder if they sell those keyboards seperate, or will do. That would be kickass.
I wonder if they sell those keyboards seperate, or will do. That would be kickass.
There already is one, it's called "Optimus Maximus" and it's expensive as shit if I remember right.
i require one.
If it's >$800 then I'd rather get that Alienware M11x or other prebuilt gaming laptops. The mini Optimus Maximus keyboard looks awesome though. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline]
There already is one, it's called "Optimus Maximus" and it's expensive as shit if I remember right.
Yeah it's like $1500, lol
Form Factor.
Yeah it's like $1500, lol
that's like 5 times the cost of my actual computer why would anybody even buy that
At first i thought it was idiotic then they started playing Quake III <3
that's like 5 times the cost of my actual computer why would anybody even buy that
Your comp only costs 300? This looks pretty good, but I'm afraid the price will scare me.
This isn't actually a product they're bringing out. They say on their FAQ that it's their equivelent to a concept car. They just wanted to show that they've done it
Your comp only costs 300? This looks pretty good, but I'm afraid the price will scare me.
Why yes, my computer cost $300, runs pretty much everything well
Its kind of funny how they say that the keyboard is magic.
Why did everyone in that video have to talk so unnaturally? The asian guy was so damn dramatic with every sentence. Also, gaming on laptops suck because of not being able to run games efficiently even if you pay assloads of money for the top of the line laptop, not because "the keyboard and mouse is too unresponsive". I don't get what Razer is trying to achieve with this, and I don't get why anyone would buy this.
The Optimus Maximus thing is a total gimmick. It looks cool, but honestly, who looks down at the keyboard when playing games?
...with rich, 3D graphics, high definition video, and lifelike animation...
and then they start playing Quake III.
and then they start playing Quake III.
I noticed the same thing.
Why does this feel like an obvious joke. Please tell me it is.

Does source games very well, just cause 2 runs on high settings just fine, Crysis is Fine on high settings. Games work just fine on laptops, maybe you've had a bad experience with one?
that's like 5 times the cost of my actual computer why would anybody even buy that
If you have the money, why not.
That keyboard is sweet.
