Another Sweet Child O' Mine Cover - General

Thought I'd share this with you guys, I had to perform a song that shows off my skills with my instrument for my BTEC Music coursework; so I performed Sweet Child O' Mine by GnR. Hope you enjoy :) [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4jou2LtAFE[/media] I'm the big guy playing lead guitar :P

You play really well, but oh SHIT am I sick of hearing bands cover that goddamn song.

You play well but you need to look and perform more like a rock band, even if you're only just showing off your skills for a BTEC. Make everything louder, move around more, make the bassist stand up and just generally look as though you're actually enjoying yourselves. Otherwise, good work.

tune your guitars

All your notes in the opening are overlapping creating an annoying distortion. Based on your player later, you should be able to play that a lot cleaner than you do. Maybe tha At 2:46 you are pretty off on a bend. Watch your feedback, could just be the room and position so it could be something you may not have a lot of control over. I'm pretty sure the song is at a slower tempo.

You guys look really bored, and you need a vocalist.

Nice YouTube name

It was a pretty good cover, but it looked like the only one who was enjoying doing it was the bassist who isn't even a part of your band. I understand that it wasn't exactly a rock show where you can go wild but you still gotta show some love to what you do.
