German Exterior Minister refuses to answer BBC Reporter in English - General

When the BBC reporter then get's to ask his questions he refuses to give him an answer, telling him that what he already told the reporters "German colleagues" is "clear-cut". But hey, you can't ask a German politician to give straight answers in a press conference, that would lead nowhere. Well generally i must say he is pretty right. However, it's not like only Germans care about our politics, hence the BBC being there. And he pretty much said it as an excuse for his non-existent English skills. That's right guys, we've got an exterior minister that can't speak anything but German...

Almost every german adult and gamer I've met/played with are too 'proud' of their language to talk english. We got three german exchange students, and they had to learn Norwegian and English in extra classes, and Norwegian from scratch. It took them nothing more than one month to learn and use a new language, yet the exterior minister refuses to speak english, and [b]sucks[/b] at speaking english.

English is all around here; If they were really Germans they must've been from the countryside or something. Our language and life is very influenced by the English language. Also, German is kind of an international language next to English, French and Spanish.

It's true they dub most movies and stuff, but almost everywhere else English is everywhere. I went all over the country and visited every region apart from southern Germany and I saw so much English. The only places I didn't see a whole lot of English or loan words was is Wörpswede, a small artists colony started before the colonial era. The place was tiny anyway. Didn't even have a train station if I remember right.
