Never let down the Finnish tradition of standing up to take a piss on a boat.
Death toll now 11!
literally why
Is there some Finnish superstition regarding a certain day not really in the middle of summer?
happened on the eve of the eve
What significance would that hold? or is that a poor translation?
I remember reading some study that the Juhannus weekend is the deadliest weekend all year in Finland.
With the power of alcohol and motorized vehicles everything is possible.

Stay safe.
I would say something, but I've done exactly what that man in the gif is doing, so I'm just going to be quiet.
Yeah Midsummer's eve tends to get pretty crazy. Weather wasn't great so I stayed indoors.

In finland we celebrate everything on the eve of whatever holiday, plus it's midsummer fest so people start getting drunk pretty much on the thursday evening because friday is free for most people

finland is a pretty fascinating country. i remember the first ever thing i saw when i went to finland for the first time (after leaving the airport) was two kids on a bicycle, with one of them sitting in the basket while it was doing a wheelie and a group of people were chasing after them at eleven o'clock at night
i'm not surprised by these accidents
I thought FP was finally getting a thread about Midsomer Murders
