Ok, so I have a bunch of files in Inventor that I need converted into something usable by 3DS Max. Through school, I have access to both pieces of software. The only thing Google has returned is a method that worked on 3DS Max 06. Can anyone help?

Inventer is a harsh one when it comes to exporting. I'm actually working on a project that required an inventor model to be ported to max. it was 6 months ago we did the conversions, but I think we ended up exporting to DWG, then importing from there.
For future reference, ya might get loads of help in the 3D art thread, it's like a braintrust in there.
When I had inventor, exporting into fbx or dwg(don't remember which) was a success.
FBX is probably the best for exporting since it's an autodesk format for that purpose.
