Facepunches hobbies are gay rights and atheism
Does not belong here.
I believe in God, but I don't believe in treating people who are considered "different" like shit. I'm embarrassed by the way gay people have been treated, namely in the name of religion. In Christianity, you are to love the people around you no matter what. Don't let some idiot who protests funerals tell you otherwise. People like to take parts of the Bible they agree strongly with, and make that the focal point to attack. In the Bible, it states one sin is no worse than another. In that case, gluttony (eating past fullness), swearing, masturbation, premarital sex, etc. is no worse than homosexuality. Whether you believe in religion or not, we're all people, and deserve to be treated the same. I would also like to point out that nowhere in the Bible (for people who like to attack Christians saying we all hate homosexuals, etc.), does it say you are to hate gay people. Nowhere does it say that. The thing is, who cares if gay people want to get married? If it doesn't affect you, what's the problem? How is someone marrying another guy or another girl affecting your life?

It occurs statistically in 1/10 of the population.
The only reason for the AIDS argument is because the first large group that contracted AIDS was the homosexual community. However, it exists in straight people just as much. The funny thing is, you only ever see gay people rallying against AIDS, you never see straight people holding benefits to prevent AIDS.

I've asked this alot, and the only answer I ever get is "it might not be important for you but it's important for them."
The whole AID's is only for gays shit was no more legitimate than the red scare and was only purported to make people fear gays. That question is just as retarded as asking why an atheist gets married.
Snip, I knew someone would misunderstand this
Facepunches hobbies are gay rights and atheism
you hobby idiocy
Loved that video, but one thing: They showed MLK Jr, and I'm pretty sure he was pretty anti-gay. Nothing against his "I have a dream speech," but food for thought, I guess.
