Keanu Reeves, Willem Dafoe, Ian McShane
An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him
I dont normally get excited about generic action films, but this one looks slick and stylish without being too OTT. 8.3/10 on imdb, all the professional reviews so far have been largely positive.
I still can't get over the fact Keanu just got his stunt double to direct the film, and not only that, but it apparently seems to have worked really well looking at all the reviews. I'll see it eventually for sure.
Just back from seeing it and I have to say: it really was a great action movie. So if you're looking for a good action movie with some decent humour and likeable characters then go see it. and Best part is: no shaky cam, all of the action scenes are clear and easy to follow despite them being a mess sometimes.

By accident I watched it *twice* last friday. No regrets, it's an amazing movie.
Good movie!
Watched it the other day. This movie is solid as hell and definitely worth a watch.
was that wilhem dafoe? im sold
Saw it a few days ago, was fucking great and will probably see it again. I'd definitely recommend it, it was surprisingly good
What's the funniest thing is that it's "canon" with the Payday universe
you dont fuck with john wick
Shoutout to radical mustachio henchman in the Nightclub scene
This movie was so amazing.
I knew it would be good, and it was even better than I expected.
Saw it today with the Overkill crew and it was awesome. It really felt like it was a homeage to all the great action movies of the 90s and late 80s in a way, with heavy focus on keeping the character badass from start to finish, plenty of great one-liners and a fantastic finisher at the end. [sp]No bullshit, no long speech of redemption - bad guy just shot and it's over.[/sp] A very nice change of pace. Highly recommend it!
