"We are certainly responsible for the decisions we make, and we are held to a higher standard.”
Good.
Jesus I cut myself just from watching that It's quite sharp
Glad these fuckers got suspended for their offense against good taste and common decency. Putting the Punisher-skull on real-life firearms and tactical gear is pretty much on level with cutie-mark AR-15s.
phwoar, really not the time for them to be making jokes like this.
That Glock can pass off as a sharp melee weapon with how edgy it is.
Honestly this kind of thing is telling of a mindset which should disqualify someone from being an officer, so good thing they got suspended. I'd be uncomfortable around anyone with a firearm who posted shit like this, let alone someone who's supposed to have authority to use it to uphold the law. Fucking moron.
Someone is a little too excited about the new center-view mode in doom
This is pretty hilarious, but I agree that a person of authority should attempt to remain professional at all times. You're the image of the law and this does not represent it well.
Hilarious, but really distasteful given the current times and their position.
<snip, I have a feeling 3/4 of people wouldn't get the joke>
Hilarious, but really distasteful given the current times and their position.
It's distasteful for a cop to do that regardless. Unlike /pol/ they have responsibilities.
Good. Law enforcement needs to be held to high standards of professionalism.
-snip- Bad reading. Yeah posting that on social media was a really bad decision.
I don't see the problem if the guy only snapped it to a few friends. Article doesn't say how the PD got hold of this picture though, so if they did actually post it on facebook or something then yeah that's an issue.

A Memphis police officer took the photo, and a second officer posted the picture on Twitter.
From the article.
Complicated situation considering the current racial tensions. Pretty bad timing and lack of common sense.
I fail to see what's so hilarious about this or how you could even think that way
Because you lack a sense of humour. But yea... Some jokes are hilarious but tasteless, shouldn't have done it as a cop...
I honestly just don't get the joke. I mean I see why it's distasteful, but I don't see the funny part.
hopefully this story goes to show that both sides of the blm vs police debate are made up of humans who are equally able to be fuck ups, and that if you find yourself on the side of one or the other 100% of the time you're probably blinded by your preconceptions
I fail to see what's so hilarious about this or how you could even think that way
People with fucked brains.
I fail to see what's so hilarious about this or how you could even think that way
I like tasteless humor that jabs at things. Don't let my subjective sense of humor bother you too much. Especially if it's edgy and they face the real life consequences of it.
Big asshole A: making the snapchat and assholes B+: posting it further on social media
