"He couldn't speak, but he said it with his lips ... 'I don't want to die. Please don't let me die,' because he loved his country, he sacrificed himself for his country," General Jose Ornella told The Associated Press. The general said he spent the last two years with Chavez, including his final moments, as Venezuela's president of 14 years battled an unspecified cancer in the pelvic region.
I could be scathing, but it's better I keep my silence. The only thing that sucks worse than dying is being terrified of it and dying anyway.
Who gives a shit he was a huge fucking asshole who caused thousands of people's deaths anyway. Karma caught up with him. I bet the people who inadvertently died because of him mouthed that also. OR yelled it.
Who gives a shit he was a huge fucking asshole who caused thousands of people's deaths anyway. Karma caught up with him. I bet the people who inadvertently died because of him mouthed that also. OR yelled it.
Karma took its time.
Even if he did do some awful things in his life, sucks to die like that.

Not exactly an Augustus Caesar when it comes to last words.
Feel sorry for his family, but he didn't sound like a cool dude.
huh i thought he was braindead for a few months prior to his death
Well I guess that confirms who his successor will be. My money is on General Ornela.
Not exactly an Augustus Caesar when it comes to last words.
Et Tu, Cancer?
What was so bad about this guy? I never cared enough to look into it.
Who gives a shit he was a huge fucking asshole who caused thousands of people's deaths anyway. Karma caught up with him. I bet the people who inadvertently died because of him mouthed that also. OR yelled it.
I'm so edgy LOOK I DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THIS MORON DYING. Have some respect for the dead, please. Even if he actually deserved it, you should treat it with honor. It's nothing worse than stepping down to his level after his death.
What was so bad about this guy? I never cared enough to look into it.
AFAIK he was kind of like Putin. Not authoritarian in the 'death squads roaming the streets' way, but authoritarian in the 'state media and courts biased towards him, opposition has no chance of getting elected' way.
Who gives a shit he was a huge fucking asshole who caused thousands of people's deaths anyway. Karma caught up with him. I will mourn him, but only because of this video.
Et Tu, Cancer?
But that's Julius Caesar. For Augustus it would be more like; "Has cancer played the part well? Then applaud as I exit" Or; "Behold, I found Venezuela of clay, and leave her to you of garbage."
He couldn't speak, but he said it with his lips
Or he said "Burn all my childporn"
Or he said "Burn all my childporn"
"Thermite my hard-drive"
Should have thought about dying before he decided to live to be old!
This is the kind of thing where I'd hate to be in his position. Normally? Yeah, world leaders have a life of luxury. People hate him, but he had a good life. But facing death with terror is horrible.
"Thermite my hard-drive"
that's why I keep one of these in case I don't have a chance for dramatic last words in the arms of a main character

Facepunch's "do not speak ill of the dead" thing kind of annoys me. Sure, you can say whatever the hell you want about him while he's a alive, but the moment he's dead, suddenly hey, that's not cool man, if he's dead you can't say bad things about him!
No one deserves to die, no matter what. Death is never justified.
Pretty much this. Granted, he died a natural death so it's not like we're celebrating a murder; but I always feel it's wrong to be happy for a death. I'm still happy that he's gone; but I'm happy on the ways of the Venezuelan people who might just get a change but honestly probably won't, not happy because a dude is dead.
hey, that's not cool man, if he's dead you can't say bad things about him!
said no one ever? if you think he's a big asshole or whatever that's fine but it doesn't make it right to celebrate a death
Have some respect for the dead, please. Even if he actually deserved it, you should treat it with honor. It's nothing worse than stepping down to his level after his death.
I never understood this logic. Why respect someone who was evil and caused innocent people to suffer? There are drug barons who murder and vandalize the dead corpses of others, so they are humiliated after death as well. They give zero fucks about your honor, why should you care about theirs? A guy who puts a gun to your face and says "You are going to die", while you cry "I don't want to die, please don't let me die" and you die in fear, would you respect him when he dies the same death? I'm not talking about Chavez (idk what he did) or any person in particular, just in general. Maybe I misunderstood, but I don't get the point of treating the dead with respect when they were bad people.
