US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has pledged to release details about his health after his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia. Mr Trump said health had now become "an issue" in the election campaign. Mrs Clinton was taken ill on Sunday at a 9/11 memorial ceremony and cancelled a campaign trip to California. Mrs Clinton had "overheated" but was now re-hydrated and was "recovering nicely", her doctor said. Mr Trump wished her a speedy recovery and said he would release the results of a medical examination he took over the past week, with "very, very specific numbers". "Hopefully they're going to be good. I think they're going to be good. I feel great," he told Fox News. So far Mr Trump has only released a note, in which his doctor declared that he would be "the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency".
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-37336164
But not his tax returns
Now watch as this report is just like the last one released by one of his doctors
So far Mr Trump has only released a note, in which his doctor declared that he would be "the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency".
That's the trumpiest thing I've ever read that wasn't subtly or overtly racist.
What happens if a US president becomes too ill to adequately perform their duties? New elections?
What happens if a US president becomes too ill to adequately perform their duties? New elections?
VP takes over. In Trump's case, that means Pence. Pence is worse than Trump.
It's kinda funny that people called Sanders an old man and questioned if he had good enough health to make it through a presidency. The man was a boss when it came to being out in the field and worked his ass off.
It's almost like the Clinton campaign focused on empty rhetorical attacks on Bernie instead of talking policy because Sanders actually had his shit together.
I don't remember the Clinton campaign calling out his age, it was just a general concern since iirc he was the oldest hopeful, older than McCain was and he got a lot of shit. I agree with everything else though. I voted Sanders because he had the best plans in place for his policy. [editline]12th September 2016[/editline] Tho at this point I would support damn near anyone over Trump
VP takes over. In Trump's case, that means Pence. Pence is worse than Trump.
lets be honest, a vote for trump is a vote for pence even if he's as healthy as his fake doctors notes say
lets be honest, a vote for trump is a vote for pence even if he's as healthy as his fake doctors notes say
Thats a new one. What makes you think he is likely to die in office?
If they gave Sanders the nomination after all, I'll vote for him. I caucused for the man, least I could do is finish what I started. Probably the last time I vote Democrat for a good long while though. [editline]12th September 2016[/editline] I will however mention, just so everyone's aware, there's a small pocket of people who think Bernie's a backstabbing traitor and I wouldn't be surprised to see a #NeverSanders hashtag
lets be honest, a vote for trump is a vote for pence even if he's as healthy as his fake doctors notes say
Trump isn't a conservative. He isn't liberal. He's far removed from progressive. His policy demonstrates that he's either flat out retarded or being bought and paid for. Pence is a social conservative, and damn the rest. Economic interests take a back seat to social conservatism. Global stability takes a back seat to social conservatism.
Thats a new one. What makes you think he is likely to die in office?
I meant more like Pence would be the one with his hands on the wheel, considering how trump approached [del]that one dude who's name I can't remember[/del] Kasich with an offer of having complete control over "america's policy, at home and abroad" (paraphrasing ofc, sorry if i got a detail or two of that wrong) also, and this is just my personal feelings, I don't think trump is interested in winning the election to become president- I think he's interested in winning the election to win the election. Not for nothing, but it would do absolute wonders for his brand :v: [editline]i'll be the first poster on SH to be cordial! I'll make millions!![/editline]
That was Kasich.
that's the one, thanks
Thats a new one. What makes you think he is likely to die in office?
Pence has actual political experience. Trump is politically flimsy and has no experience. Pence is a hardliner. You'd have to be naive to think that Trump isn't going to take and follow advise from Pence.
Thats a new one. What makes you think he is likely to die in office?
A fatal case of hyperbole. Seriously though, how have you managed to assume that Trump not being "the healthiest individual ever elected" means "he is likely to die in office"?
So the economy can wreck itself as long as social progress is being made?
I'm sorry what? How will Trump's policies not destroy the economy on their own when multiple expert analyses, all impartial, have said they could send America spinning into a recession and trigger a global economic collapse?
So the economy can wreck itself as long as social progress is being made?
That's Pence's modus operandi. Fuck the economy. Fuck reality. Stick to conservative talking points above all else. Major industries, sports associations, tourist attractions, and businesses are telling you that they'll pull out of the state if you push for laws that let people discriminate against LGBT people? Pence doubled down on that bill until the very end. Meanwhile, our infrastructure is crumbling. Bridges are literally sinking into rivers. Would Pence work with INDOT to maintain the roads tax payers already paid for and actively rely on? He took his sweet time and then failed to rally support with our state congress to back his plan.
So the economy can wreck itself as long as social progress is being made?
i guess all those professionals who tested his theories are full of shit when they said it would put us right back into a recession.
But not his tax returns
Get his Birth Certificate while you are at it.
VP takes over. In Trump's case, that means Pence. Pence is worse than Trump.
I trust Pence not to play chicken with nukes, though.
So the economy can wreck itself as long as social progress is being made?
He's saying that pence's opinion is "Socially conservative policies, damn the rest" not that 1leg thinks that.
It's almost like the Clinton campaign focused on empty rhetorical attacks on Bernie instead of talking policy because Sanders actually had his shit together.
actually the attacks came from trump if i remember correctly, hes crazy bernie! funny enough they ended after he needed sander's supporters
The long ailing 78 year old ascended to the throne after the death of his 80 year old brother Prince Sultan late last December. The mantle passed in accordance with precedent, to his full brother Prince Salman, the then current Defence Minister. Prince Salman who will turn 77 this year is plagued by a host of health problems including the same cardiac risks that claimed the life of his brother and father, not to mention a debilitating stroke he suffered two years ago. The process of Saudi succession increasingly looks like a funerary procession, with one man going to his grave after the other. Standing atop all of this is the venerable King Abdullah who at age 87 is stricken with many of the health problems one would expect of a man clawing his way towards a century on this earth. Considered by many to have been more or less out of commission during the most chaotic days of the Arab Spring - indeed he was away on a medical junket for part of it - there are few who have faith that the King can last much longer.
https://www.opendemocracy.net/joshua-jacobs/saudi-arabias-moribund-monarchy funny that people were sitting around talking about the age of the saudi monarchy just a few years ago. the age of trump after an 8 year presidency: 78 years old the age of pence after an 8 year presidency: 65 years old the age of clinton after an 8 year presidency: 77 years old (she turns 69 in a months time) the age of kaine after an 8 year presidency: 66 years old the age of sanders after an 8 year presidency: 83 years old what a great stock of geriatric candidates to come out of 300 million people with. I really have to ask how there is a minimum age requirement of 35 for candidacy but no maximum age?
I find it severely unlikely that clinton is dying we all freaked out because for a second it looked like HOLY SHIT all the seizure/cancer/android conspiracy theories were true, but seriously, having pneumonia + associated medications for pneumonia isn't a bad explanation for collapsing in the heat (especially when wearing that goddamn jacket) she has released a medical statement, as has trump. perhaps she should have been more open with it, but whatever. it certainly does not disqualify her from being president, nor should it factor into the decision in voting for either candidate - I can think of so many diseased heads of state who functioned in their offices perfectly well (think FDR, Dick Cheney - little known fact, he was actually a robot)
VP takes over. In Trump's case, that means Pence. Pence is worse than Trump.
It's funny because Kasich was asked first iirc to be the VP and was offered control over domestic and foreign affairs but said he wanted to have no part of Trumps insanity. I guess we can all wish that he had taken it now. Although we should really have a maximum age you can be elected to office now.
What field
It's an idiom
