I'm trying to find some very, very tacky 70's-80's music to work with on a project but suprisingly it's hard to find the stuff. It's got that specific taste to it that allowed it to be used in Napoleon Dynamite. It's the stuff when played makes you think of canary blue furniture, fake wood panelling, orange shag carpet and a textured red brick fireplace with a stucco texture white ceiling. topped off with red curtains in the window. I already asked several of my friends if they had anything similar on their ocmpuer or on record but nothing. Either they had never heard of the stuff or it sounded so awful they didn't want to keep something like that.
I'm not too familiar with instruments, but is that an organ?
elevator music kind of sounds like that anything with a vibraphone kind of sounds like that
That's a Rhodes and clavinet fool.
Perrey and Kingsley??
I didn't understand anything of your description. Does this work?
No. Neither of those seem to hit the spot. Here, let me go and dig up another one that's in the area I'm looking for.
I know exactly what you're talking about, but aside from Napoleon Dynamite, I don't know of anything like it.
The rhodes is such a sexy instrument, it's a shame music like this has tainted it so much :(
this music makes me think of oceans 11 for some reason
