Victorian police officer delivers baby outside police station
A Melbourne policewoman has gone beyond the call of duty, delivering a baby boy after being flagged down by a frantic couple on their way to hospital.
Bryce and Georgina Geyer of Kingsville were on their way to hospital when their baby started crowning.
Mr Geyer pulled over at Footscray police station at 7am (AEST) and managed to wave down some officers, who initially thought he was saying hello.
"The rest is a blur to be honest," Mr Geyer told reporters on Saturday.
Constables Amber Rawson and Deborah Clymo called triple-zero, while Sergeant Fiona Curnow, a mother-of-three, made the new mum comfortable in the car outside the police station.
Sgt Curnow delivered three-kilogram Lachlan safely in the car before paramedics arrived and transported the family to the Royal Women's Hospital.
Wow, this is amazing.
We hear so much about the bad police do, but generally speaking even for myself we always tend to forget they are the good guys.
What a great story, thanks for this!
was it one of these guys?

because that way everyone gets the chance to make the joke about the period of history between 1837 and 1901 in britain, and the state in australia.

The story of the best state in Australia must be known by the outsiders such as yourself as well.

Hai! That said, this news is actually interesting. Funny how in the last thread the lack of posts proved exactly what I was talking about.
