LONDON, Ohio (AP) — A man stopped for speeding in Ohio was charged with illegally making or possessing an explosive device after nearly 50 bombs and four guns were found in his vehicle. Andrew Scott Boguslawski, 43, was arrested late New Year's Day on Interstate 70 west of Columbus. Investigators found two pistols, two rifles, 48 explosive devices and tools and materials to make additional explosives, according to The (London) Madison Press. Also inside was a remote detonating device, Assistant Madison County Prosecutor Nick Adkins said. Investigators are trying to determine why the man had the arsenal. He faces a court hearing Friday in Madison County.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...n_4557450.html Pretty scary to think what could have happened had he not been pulled over
Why are there like 800 cities/towns named london in the world? My heart skipped a beat when I read London.
"four guns" wasn't, for some reason, that surprising, but 48 bombs? i mean what the hell? the article doesn't mention what sort of stuff they were, anyone have any additional sources?

"The majority of the devices, I would not classify as high tech, but some of the devices were set up to be activated with the remote detonator."
http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2014/01/07/Indiana-man-allegedly-had-48-bombs-4-guns-in-car-in-Ohio/UPI-73551389125045/
My heart skipped a beat when I read London.
homie there wouldn't be "cop" in the title if it were the true London.
You'd think he'd be driving carefully as fuck with a car full of explosives.
"The majority of the devices, I would not classify as high tech, but some of the devices were set up to be activated with the remote detonator."
20 bucks on he butchered wireless doorbell systems or aftermarket keyless entry systems meant for cars for that. And those are prone to be activate by all kinds of rf noise.
My heart skipped a beat when I read London.
And then you realized "Oh it's just America, this happens all the time".
You'd think he'd be driving carefully as fuck with a car full of explosives.
Explosives, what the fuck.
New Years day. Homemade fireworks ARE considered "explosive devices". So 4 guns (not surprising), and what's probably homemade fireworks and a crude blasting cap made out of an old light bulb, some steel wool, 2 wires, and a 9v battery if I had to guess.
homie there wouldn't be "cop" in the title if it were the true London.
Where do you think the word cop originates from though?

However, the officer returned with a ticket and saw the handle of a gun between the man's knees.
Doesn't sound like normal behavior for a guy who's just packing fireworks. That's where you would put a gun if you were planning on being able to reach for it quickly and start shooting. I'd imagine the gun wasn't there the whole time or the trooper would likely have noticed it before, so that implies that Boguslawski moved it there after being pulled over. It would be pretty safe to assume that he was planning to shoot the man who pulled him over.
Why would they be activated by "all kinds of rf noise" when the systems on cars could never ever be activated by anything but its master?
He's talking about the cheap aftermarket kits anyone can buy.
Why would they be activated by "all kinds of rf noise" when the systems on cars could never ever be activated by anything but its master?
because the frequencies aren't exclusive per device, every person could potentially have the same unit as you and activate your doorbell trigger since they all share the same frequencies. he could literally just have them activated in his car and somebody ringing the doorbell across the street could blow him up.
I guess someone didn't like the bridges of madison county.

Maybe he was just a collector?

My friend has one between the split of his 40/60 front seats, which has the grip touching his leg. This isn't uncommon, and its NOT uncommon for a police officer to not notice the firearm upon first walk up to the vehicle. I mean most times I've been pulled over, the cop never even looked inside my vehicle, just stood outside, grabbed my papers, and informed me that i was speeding before returning to his patrol car to write the ticket. I could be wrong, but until more details are released, I have to give the man the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
Sounds like he was prepared.
And then you realized "Oh it's just America, this happens all the time".
I carry no less than 30 remote explosives at all times because if it was any less I wouldn't be considered an American.
Snip, tag ain't working for me

I don't care about a carry pistol, that is fine, but why lie to the officer and say you didn't have any weapons on you? And what do you need a homemade remote detonator for?
What an explosive discovery. I bet the cop exploded with fear
