So a few days ago, I was outside on my patio listening to some VGM from Cave Story. I was having a pretty good time, until I heard a THUMP coming from the basement window cover. Turns out a baby bunny was on top of the plastic cover and fell in the hole. I took a picture of him:

So at first he was scared out of his mind, jumping up and down and whatnot. I managed to eventually calm him down by giving him some clovers to eat. A few minutes later, I grabbed some gardening gloves (I didn't want to touch him with bare hands because he might smell like human and his mom would abandon him) I picked him up and got him back up!

So as he hopped away, he turned back and looked at me straight to the face. I have to say, that was pretty darn cute.

After this, I thought to myself if I would ever see him again. Well, it turns out that he actually lives by the side of our house, and comes by and eats grass near where I am.
So, since I'll be seeing the little guy often, what's a good name?
:3:
Murderbitch. Call it Murderbitch
Since you were first alerted to him by the sound, even though it may be a bit obvious, Thumper?
If he's off wandering around by himself and eating grass, chances are he's already been weaned.
why didn't you consume him to gain his bunny speed abilities
Name him Atlas, destroyer of worlds.

Ah, that's true. It's just he was so small!

Yeah. They tend to get weaned pretty small. Really, the best thing you can do for him right now is keep out a bowl of water for him.

Good idea! I'll put it next to where he lives.
I dislike how people think they can't pick up animals because the mother might abandon it.
It won't.
That way, many young injured animals die.

In the case of birds, this is true. However, some mammals will. Regardless, most people lack the knowledge to properly care for wildlife. Even if they do, it's usually illegal to possess it, that doesn't stop some people though. Best course of action is to either leave it alone or take it to a wildlife rehabilitator.
Most mammals won't abandon their children for it. It's worth saving it, though you should always try to do what the OP did. Wear gloves. It might be sick too.

I agree, one time my dad tried to save a deer and he got ticks.

If you don't have the knowledge to care for the animal, you're just going to end up killing it.
I agree with the guy above, thumper suits best
Call it supermegadeathbunnytenthousandB.C.
Murderbitch. Call it Murderbitch
Seconded, Murderbitch is a great name.

Call him, Benny.
It is a myth that parents will abandon their babies if they smell human scent on it. Same with birds, but it was good to use gloves anyways because it could carry something.

Was about to come in here and point that out.
I once found a baby bird and learned this.
Charles Easter T. Bunnyworth. Best name for him.
Name him Atlas, destroyer of worlds.
Given that Atlas holds up the world so that it ISN'T destroyed, that name would be rather odd.
(Granted historically speaking he was depicted as in charge of holding up the sky and all of the stars and planets, not the earth.)

What about calling it Clumsy Atlas then?
"Shit, dropped another world"
I shall call him.... Mini Me.

It's not true for birds either. It's just a myth. Birds don't have much in the way of a sense of smell, so they won't mind most of the time.
