Trump Claims Voter Fraud During Meeting, Republican Source "He was giving them a hard time"
Donald Trump has repeated the unsubstantiated claim that millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 election, a claim that he used after the election to justify his loss of the popular vote, Democratic and Republican sources told ABC News.
"Serious" voter fraud and a "rigged" system were themes of Trump's campaign, both in the primaries and general election, assertions that carried past Election Day. Trump, who has made a series of unsubstantiated or false claims, won the Electoral College with 306 votes (2 eventually defected), but lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million ballots.
During the meeting with Congressional leadership, Trump said "3 to 5 million illegals" voted, according to two Democratic aides. But a Republican aide said the comments were made in jest.
"He was giving them a hard time," the Republican aide said, a characterization a House Democratic aide disputed.
ABC News contacted several White House officials who have not responded to a request for comment.
Is this another of what they call "alternative facts?"
More like downright lies without proof.
Can we please individually impeach every single part of Trumps presidency, starting from the bottom up? I feel it's 100% justifiable at this point.

Accusing the opposition of one of the most serious crimes possible in a democracy? "H-he's just kidding, guys!"
No shit you'd have to be a loon to believe that 3-5 million people voted illegally. Trump is in fact a loon though
Here's the fact check that came with the article

This seems to be a he said, she said situation but it seems more serious thanks to trump's illegal immigrant tweet. I honestly dont understand why he is stirring up shit when he has better things to do as president.

Trump doesn't seem to be able to act professionally or like a president. If this is really a joke it's a terrible one.

Stirring up shit seems to be all he knows how to do when looking at his campaign.

Because he's still not over that lost in total votes just like he threw a fit about inauguration audience. It's impossible for Trump to digest he isn't winning all the time. What were people expecting when they elected someone so fixated on winning and his own ego?

They weren't thinking. Trump voters can't think. That's why they're Trump voters lol

The fact that he has said this in earnest in the past makes the he said she said lean a bit against Trump just pulling their leg in this instance.

"That's why Trump won" comment in 3 - 2 - 1...
I get your frustration, but please tone down the hyperbole.

I don't support Trump dude, but come on.
"Trump is a wildcard" My Ass,
anyone who didn't see this hypocritical shit coming miles away, can't think critically, is delusional or doesn't give a shit.
Unfortunately there are quite a few people that will readily believe this claim.
I don't think this joke is very funny.

I know a dude who thinks most, if not all of clintons votes were faked
especially the 3 million winning

After witnessing voters on both sides regurgitate plenty of soundbites and headlines from their respective echo chambers, I think it's safe to say there's plenty of that kind of behavior to go around.

I don't know so much about "can't think" but "didn't think" seems to have been quite a common mindset for Trump voters in my experience. My best friend voted for Trump because it was the default option for him, coming from a Republican family. He never so much as bothered to look into any of Trump's policies, let alone the validity of anything Trump said. It was only after I opinted out some of Trump's poorly thought out policies that he was even made aware of them. And I've seen quite a few people that did similarly.
Honestly I really hope he stays so wrapped up in what the media says about him that he doesn't have time to fuck anything up more than he already has.
He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who will let go of his Twitter ego very readily.
How are we supposed to have faith in this man's abilities as a leader when in his very first days in one of the most powerful and important positions of leadership he has shown a complete inability to put aside his ego for even a single moment?

A lot of the people I talk to locally (extremely conservative small town) have no idea what he's up to. Just mindlessly voted because he was the red option.
I mean really, people keep telling me that it's too early to tell and that I should just give it time but since before the primaries, before I was even born, this man has continually demonstrated that there is nothing more important to him than himself and his ego, that there is nothing more important than his image as a popular, wealthy businessman, and things like straight up lying about the size of his inauguration and his continued insistence that any vote against him was illegitimate only serves to reinforce this impression

Coming from Texas. A lot of people I have talked to only voted for Trump because A. He's the Republican choice or B. He isn't Hillary Clinton. Not very many people actually voted for him because they thought he would be a good president. Except all my family who think he is the 2nd coming of Jesus
None of them couldn't even name a policy outside of MAGA and Build a wall.

I know it's all a joke to you and fair enough dude, but people genuinely are going to be concerned with behaviour like this and they have every right to.
The president is already disputing facts, what sign does that have for you?

Say, maybe you'd like to take a whack at my question instead of going after the low hanging fruit?

I really don't think me trying to explain that in a nutshell Trump has a different personality will be a new conversation for anyone on here.
Not like there would be a magical revelation that would change people's minds. This kind of stuff either irks you alot or doesn't.

It'd be a new one for me. So far I have not yet been given any compelling reason to trust in this man's abilities as a leader, and I have been given no fresh evidence that contradicts my prior impressions of Trump

Oh hey, nice edit
I'm not asking for a magical revelation, I'm not asking you to change my mind, I'm just asking for some reasons as to why this man is supposed to be a good fit for his position despite all mounting evidence to the contrary
To be quite honest this edit strikes me as something of a copout that conveniently excuses you from having to explain your position and present any reason as to why you hold it
someone should inform trump that he's the president
NOT A JESTER
