Absolute trainwreck incoming. But that's natural for Bioware.
I don't understand this obsession with putting like, TV and movie actors behind voice acting roles in video games. What's the point? Half of the time they deliver terrible performances since they're not familiar with the medium, and how much weigh is the name of the actor gonna carry if the character looks nothing like them? It's near universally a money sink.
I think Peebee's the only one that can make a face. Every other character's facial animations are so stiff and emotionless.

It happened with Destiny, too. Peter Dinklage, while a great actor otherwise, was not a great Ghost. (And they realized and replaced him.)

To be fair to Dinklage the lines he was given were mostly terrible too. They still sound dumb with Nolan North voicing them.
Bioware isn't Bioware anymore. Not the Bioware i know that kept pooping out amazing RPG games one after another and it became like a assurance of quality when their studio name was on the product. I mean just a few RPG's that i fucking love:
Mass Effect (on release, it was fucking incredible)
Neverwinter Nights
Baldur's Gate
Dragon Age: Origins
Jade Empire
Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic
Lately it became a real joke, pretty much after Mass Effect 3 it started to degrade
title reminded me of this

just saying, but i do like they went with the girl as their main focus for the protagonist instead of the guy, it differentiates it from the last trilogy
that fucking t-pose

While Bioware are worse than they were before I just want to point out that Andromeda was made by Bioware Montreal, Inquisition was made by Bioware Edmonton and was generally well regarded (except for all the fluff). So it could end up where you need to see which studio developed the game to know how good it's prospects are.
That said I'm looking forward to Andromeda, the animations are terrible, as is some of the voice acting, but I'm willing to give the gameplay and the story a shot. If it's shit I'll just return it, since Origin lets you do that now.

Hey, who wants to help me raise some funds to sue the shit out of a company for filing a DMCA claim against a dead person?

this game looks rather... bioware-y
you could say i'm bio-wary of the outcome of this game
just saying, but i do like they went with the girl as their main focus for the protagonist instead of the guy, it differentiates it from the last trilogy
That makes no sense. There is no real difference between having a Female MC and having a Male MC in the other games other than small things like romance options.
The only way for your statement to make sense is if they completely fucked the game over.

that pun was bad bud still above this game's quality

yes, i too enjoy that they chose the arguably worst looking character to spearhead their new big game.

Do you have any opinions of this game that aren't sarcastic?
To be fair to Dinklage the lines he was given were mostly terrible too. They still sound dumb with Nolan North voicing them.
That's the main problem, the writing is so terrible half of the time the big-name actor goes completely wasted. What was this Call of Duty game that had Kevin Spacey in it? They even had him motion captured and face tracked and the character was a recreation of him, but the role is completely unmemorable because the lines are shit. All of the Bethesda open-world RPGs have some big name actor attached to it in a role, but the roles are usually like 5 lines.
I'm getting some strong Mike Stoklasa vibes from this video and I love it.

Dragon Age 2 was utter trash and ME2 had significant problems. We all let it go because we thought there was a reason for the main story being so short, so many things cut from the game compared to the previous version, the continued shitty writing, and so on. ME3 could've patched that up. But it didn't.
Also, TOR was fairly damn bad for a while. It still kind of is. Over the last many years Bioware has consistently shown they're an incapable developer.

Hell I half expecting him to say this when he brought up the Asari.

Also when he was talking about the Archons, that was PURE Mike running through this guys veins, it's delectable.

Even the gold they struck with Mass Effect 1 was accidental, given that the gameplay was something ranging from "adequate" to "colossal mess." And a lot of the interesting setup, design and style they had were thrown out by the second game, showing they didn't really understand what made ME click - but people didn't really care all that much until post-ME3 when everyone reflected on how much shit went off the rails.
Why do bioware's characters always look like they were created by amateurs? Wither3 came out two years ago and it had more realistic looking humans, and I don't think Wither3's characters were based on real people.
personally i don't think bioware's made a good rpg since jade empire was released back in TWO THOUSAND AND FUCKING FIVE
that me
btw my opinion of the gameplay: it looks like ME3, except you can have an ability where you make your own Gears Of Wall. it's nothing new.
while looking for content i found a lot of tumblrs showing off gifs of the stuff i used in the video praising the game for looking awesome non-ironically.
i just dont understand how certain developer teams can go backwards when it comes to animation and mocapping. mgs3 was 2004. mgs2 also had better mocap than this.

Because they are getting made by amateurs. The staff that made Inquisition and Andromeda are absolutely not the staff that made Baldur's Gate or Mass Effect.
