You know that song that just makes your heart quiver? Or gives you that feeling, sorta like nostalgia but sadder. Post that shit here. As long as the song you post gives you an emotional reaction, it belongs here. It doesn't necessarily need to be a sad song. So fucking much. So yeah, that's about it. [editline]11th February 2012[/editline] Forgot this one. This song is just astoundingly beautiful.
Mine changes from time to time, but some notables include and, much more recently Not even sure why. I've been reading a lot of historical fiction lately, and it sort of reminds me of going to battle.
Some songs from Portal 2 but I wouldn't be able to name them And for some very odd reason, Green Day's Jesus of Suburbia and Wake me up when September Ends.

Kind of emo Kind of less emo, but makes me feel sadder than any other song I've ever heard.
Every time the melody at 0:56 hits I get chills. Same as above, 2:30 This one speaks for itself.

[editline]12th February 2012[/editline] HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
~ by Touche Amore I don't know why, I'm not even that big a fan of post-hardcore, I only like two bands out of the wave. but this song man, this fuckin song [editline]12th February 2012[/editline] this too
Homestuck - Three in the Morning (RJ's I Can Barely Sleep In This Casino Remix) Definitely my favourite song from a Homestuck album. Wouldn't really fit with much in the comic I don't think, but it's just such a great soothing remix.

Badly Drawn Boy - I Love N.Y.E. Same sort of mood as the above, except less electronic and clearly shorter.

The Glitch Mob - Starve the Ego, Feed the Soul

Frightened Rabbit - My Backwards Walk +a bunch of other FR songs

65daysofstatic - Tiger Girl From 4 mins onwards. First part I skip anyway.

And if I could find it, Peatbog Faeries - All About Windmills It's not really a very important song to me though.
I think I'm doing it write: and I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire just has this...odd feeling about it. Maybe it is from playing FO3 but this song always had this deep effect on me. I don't really know how to explain it totally.
in my opinion, the last two minutes is one of the most emotional/expressive uses of guitar of all time. brock seriously makes his guitar weep. this song has had a special place in my heart since I was twelve or so

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ SWAG ^^^^^^^^^^^
specifically 1:22 onwards
first thing I think of when I hear the word "cathartic" at the end it always feels like you've come out alive from some ordeal and you feel much better
Cathartic as a word tells me it should sound like it sends you to another place wow, I didn't even realise what the title of this song was, I just picked the first track off the album. :O
holy nuts
it's something relatively easy to feel on first listen. That's gothic/ethereal music for you. :)

Even The Cure give me the same feeling, not quite a strong but still nice.
