Woah smaugs voice is really, really well done.
Damn, part 2 is gonna kick ass. Especially Mirkwood.

We have to go back (to the Lonely Mountain), Kate. WE HAVE TO GO BACK! (to the Lonely Mountain) [editline]1st October 2013[/editline]
Woah smaugs voice is really, really well done.
Sounds exactly like I'd hope a dragon would sound.
So that means part 3 is going to the return journey.
legolas what
legolas what
Well it does kinda make sense to have him there considering he's the son of the elven king
Wooo LotR! Never dissapoints, cant wait for this.
Legolas isn't the only character that doesn't belong, but whatever. I don't have the patience to read books so the movies will do fine.
tauriel was added for nothing more but a love interest and a hamfisted attempt to please feminists
Wow that's a lot of CGI.
So that means part 3 is going to the return journey.
Part 3 will be the war, a lot of political jargon, AND the return journey.
yay orlando bloom more shield surfing please
Part 3 will be the war, a lot of political jargon, AND the return journey.
Oh yeah i forgot about the big war.
smaug has so much bass in his voice it's gonna be crazy in imax
Wow that's a lot of CGI.
Well atleast it's good CGI
Oh yeah i forgot about the big war.
That's gonna be a long portion of the last movie for sure.
Oh yeah i forgot about the big war.
Battle of the five armies and a few deaths. [editline]1st October 2013[/editline]
I didn't even know there was a war in The Hobbit. I guess not reading the book first has its advantages.
Its probably bigger than any battle in LOTR
Legolas isn't the only character that doesn't belong, but whatever. I don't have the patience to read books so the movies will do fine.
he wasn't present in the book but it doesn't contradict the lore to have him there
Its probably bigger than any battle in LOTR
Not really, as far as I remember there were about 500 dwarves and about 600-700 humans and elves, versus a few thousand goblins and wargs. Oh yeah, and Beorn and some eagles

Look at that guy chillin in the bear's arm
Not really, as far as I remember there were about 500 dwarves and about 600-700 humans and elves, versus a few thousand goblins and wargs. Oh yeah, and Beorn and some eagles
Shows how long its been since ive read the book. :v:
Look at that guy chillin in the bear's arm
[sp]that would be Thorin, less chilling and more mostly dead[/sp] [editline]1st October 2013[/editline]
Not really, as far as I remember there were about 500 dwarves and about 600-700 humans and elves, versus a few thousand goblins and wargs. Oh yeah, and Beorn and some eagles
from the lotr wiki 500 Dwarves of the Iron Hills, the 13 dwarves of Thorin and Company of the Lonely Mountain, 200 Men of Lake-town, over 1000 Elves of the Woodland Realm, Gandalf, Bilbo Baggins, Beorn, Eagles of the Misty Mountains vs 6000 Goblins of Misty Mountains and 500 Warg allies
That's gonna be a long portion of the last movie for sure.
not if they tell it from Bilbo's view
from the lotr wiki 500 Dwarves of the Iron Hills, the 13 dwarves of Thorin and Company of the Lonely Mountain, 200 Men of Lake-town, over 1000 Elves of the Woodland Realm, Gandalf, Bilbo Baggins, Beorn, Eagles of the Misty Mountains vs 6000 Goblins of Misty Mountains and 500 Warg allies
Huh, I never realized there were that many elves and men. I wonder how the dwarves could be so stupid and consider attacking them when they were so outnumbered
Huh, I never realized there were that many elves and men. I wonder how the dwarves could be so stupid and consider attacking them when they were so outnumbered
You forget Dwarves are like the epitome of warriors in any fantasy. Short and portly but they take more punishment and have more battle rage than anything, typicall 1 dwarf = 5 humans,10 elves, and 3 orcs more or less.
[sp]that would be Thorin, less chilling and more mostly dead[/sp]
Wow thanks jeez I didn't think that'd be a book spoiler
Huh, I never realized there were that many elves and men. I wonder how the dwarves could be so stupid and consider attacking them when they were so outnumbered
Orcs in Tolkiens setting are generally weak and just work in horde/rush like a zerg. Dwarves can easily fight outnumbered while Elves are the perfect warrior. Dwarves fighting outnumbered is pretty common place due to their low birth rates. [editline]1st October 2013[/editline]
Wow thanks jeez I didn't think that'd be a book spoiler
[sp]Fili, Kili also die[/sp]
