Some may think it is ridic but the evolution of language means that Scrabble has to keep up to stay dench - obvs. Lolz, shizzle and cakehole are among 6,500 new words added to the existing quarter of a million in the latest Collins Scrabble word list. A host of slang words used on social media, in texts and on the street are now available to fans of the traditional word game seeking to outplay their opponents. These include obvs (obviously), ridic (ridiculous), lolz (laughs), shizzle (form of US rap slang), cakehole (mouth), and dench (excellent).
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/scrabble-stays-dench-words-231043001.html#dTPzffD
It would be better if it was a separate variant of Scrabble.
Snoop Dogg is going to be unstoppable.
Dench? Obvs? Where the fuck are those from?
These include obvs (obviously), ridic (ridiculous), lolz (laughs)
I've only played scrabble a handful of times and that was years ago, so I'm hardly an expert, but aren't these all contradictory to the rules? I was under the impression that abbreviations and acronyms aren't allowed. [editline]21st May 2015[/editline]
Dench? Obvs?
Dench? Obvs? Where the fuck are those from?
Watch any grime video and you'll probably understand.
Now just add 'cakefart' and we'll be good.
This isn't "dench" at all.
I understand new words, but these are slang words. We don't need obviously-slang words in Scrabble.
We play google scrabble. If google doesn't try to tell you made a typo, it's a word.

To be honest, I haven't heard the word ''cakehole'' in my entire life. Sounds like some weird ass bakery version of a glory hole
To be honest, I haven't heard the word ''cakehole'' in my entire life. Sounds like some weird ass bakery version of a glory hole
Eww...
To be honest, I haven't heard the word ''cakehole'' in my entire life. Sounds like some weird ass bakery version of a glory hole
Aren't those called doughnuts?
To be honest, I haven't heard the word ''cakehole'' in my entire life. Sounds like some weird ass bakery version of a glory hole
British Slang, been around a long long time in comparison to the rest of whats been added. Shut your cakehole - Shut up.
We play google scrabble. If google doesn't try to tell you made a typo, it's a word.
Google gives up after a certain point and says, I can't think of a word this could possibly be intended to be. There's also a ton of words that are correct that Google suggests alternatives for.
British Slang, been around a long long time in comparison to the rest of whats been added. Shut your cakehole - Shut up.
They should add piehole as I hear it in that sentence more often.
We play google scrabble. If google doesn't try to tell you made a typo, it's a word.
This would be bad if I tried to use anything but American English though. Spell check tries to tell me "armour" isn't a word.
I think dictionary people like to add transient or barely used slang because they need to do something and they already added all the good words.
Does anybody even follow the official Scrabble word list anyway? Whenever we play it, it's pretty much just 'Does everybody agree that that is a word (or it's on that fucking 2-letter words list)?'

[editline]21st May 2015[/editline] Britain, unfortunately.
As words become more and more used, they become established as proper words rather than abbreviations. 'Phone', for instance. Definitely needs a few more years before thinking of including these ones though
Isn't there only one 'z' in scrabble? How do you play 'shizzle'?
Isn't there only one 'z' in scrabble? How do you play 'shizzle'?
Blank tiles.
If they're adding fake words to let people play those useless Zs could they at least have the decency to do the same for Xs?
If they're adding fake words to let people play those useless Zs could they at least have the decency to do the same for Xs?
xX_NarutoFan420_Xx is now in the scrabble dictionary.
The English Language and vocabulary is dying a painful death i see.
