Ok, so I'm pretty much a beginner bassist, I got a bass earlier this year but only recently actually started playing and learning. I have a regular 4 string squier fender bass. I know a few basslines, nothing complicated. I want something for band practice at least, because me and my friends are getting one together. I mainly want to play 60s and 70s stuff, like Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, all your classic rock staples and some heavy metal like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Godsmack and maybe even some Nirvana and some popular alternative metal. I don't really have a price range, but I prefer to keep it somewhat cheap, at least for now. Thanks!
Go look on musicians friend. They have a Acoustic B100 for around 250$. Great sound and great price, plus it can be pretty loud without the annoying low-wattage fuzz

It's the amp I have, it's fantastic for it's price, and the drive channel is really good for more grungy type songs like Nirvana, etc.
