I'm sure everyone has been to the cinema and came out saying "what a waste of money" and other times coming out saying "that was awesome", or maybe just had fun cause the film was so dumb you and your friends/partner were laughing the living crap out of yourselves. Which films did you watch in cinemas? Let's comment on how the experience was and if it was worth the money. I remember going to see Star Wars: Episode I, i didn't know star wars at the time so i didn't know why my friends and everyone else were so fuckin exited. Like what the hell man. I remember enjoying the film and buying that crappy Jar Jar binks toy head with a sticky tongue that and throwing it away a few days later cause it became black. Other films i watched in cinemas: Avatar 3D - it was just an eyegasm with a poor story, maybe worth it just for the 3D Drive Angry - not worth watching it in cinemas The Hitcher (remake) - crappy movie but i had loads of fun in the cinema with my friends. We were counting the frags and laughing all the time. Toy Story - i was just a little kid when i watched this, it was great fun. Probably the best 3D cartoon ever. Fast & Furious 5 - the film is just a dumb action packed rollercoaster ride, but it was fun cause me and my whacky friends were just making up jokes all along.
The Dark Knight and Inception must be seen in a cinema to be fully experienced. Inception felt a much more muted experience on DVD.
The music in Inception is incredibile when watched in cinemas.
Sadly I never saw Avatar or Inception in the cinema. Cloverfield was so much better in the cinema than on DVD
I hardly ever go to movies anymore, after AMC bought out our local theater they hiked Fri/Sat/Sun prices to $10 and hiked all the concession prices too. I could buy the Blu-Ray when it comes out for less than it costs to go see something. Serenity was one of my favorite cinema experiences, I got in on the last showing on the last day it was running.
2012 - Terrible film but damn it was pretty. Inception - Best movie experience of my life.
Avatar just isn't the same on the small screen.
Cloverfield : at the cinema is really awesome Inception : i didn't saw it at the cinema because i was in another country at the time. The day earth stood still : (the new one) not money worthy, and boring IMO.
Tron: Legacy- It's visuals and soundtrack alone are worth watching in a cinema.
Tron: Legacy 3D- Plus the ganja. It was the best thing ever. I was so thrilled! Also Alice in Wonderland 3D- And needless to say weed. It was awesome, especially the vaporizing cat! I was amazed, like "Whoa!"
Inception at IMAX
District 9 was amazing in theaters. Very visceral and deafening for the last bloody half of the movie. obligatory inception & dark knight
Cloverfield was the best experience in a cinema I have ever had, fucking intense.

Im hardcore too so i smoke in theaters, F those security guards LOL, freedom from opression man!
OP please tell me you mean The Hitcher remake.
Just Like Heaven - It was a shitty movie I couldn't wait to get out of, but I did it for a girl (who is now my wife) Terminator Salvation - Fuck yes, I love this movie. I know a lot of it is shitty but I still think it's way better than T3, and I am a big fan, so I was willing to overlook a lot of it for the better parts Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception - Nolan is automatically a phenomenal movie going experience, hands down. Saw Dark Knight and Inception multiple times. Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3 - Yes, they were all really fun except Iron Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 were a little sub-par, but that's okay Avatar - Enjoyed it only because it was my first (and last) 3D movie and it was different, but in the end it left a sour taste in my mouth, Cameron has really gone downhill Hobo With a Shotgun - First time I saw it I was totally baked and it blew my fucking head off, it was so awesome I went and saw it again These are just movies I've seen recently, or remember for being remarkable or outstanding in some way I usually only go to the theatre for action movies, but I'm really picky about which ones
Cowboys vs Aliens Pacing was fast and some plot holes, But good if you want a good old action movie. Plus Harrison Ford being Harrison Ford. Or just Hans Solo if you added more asshole and made him a cowboy.
Inception, Avatar, Paranormal Activity and Star Wars Ep. III.
I wish I'd seen Inception in the cinema. My best cinema experience was seeing Back to the Future when it got re-released last year. It's one of my favourite films, and also the audience were great.

Inception and The Dark Knight in theater was pretty incredible. The music is so loud and intense, gives a pretty awesome feeling.
Inception definitely, all the Harry Potter films maybe? I thought they were much better on the big screen but I don't know about anyone else.
The Tree of Life in theaters was amazing, definitely one of the best movie-going experiences I've had. And as everyone else has said, Inception was pretty awesome too.
OP please tell me you mean The Hitcher remake.
yes the remake
Lord of War - We (My dad, my brother and I) watched it blind, no trailers and no clue about the plot, and we left the theater happy.
Lion King. Bout 3 times. Worth it.
indy4 on the day of release. loved it then, not so much now.
I pretty much counted 3D under visuals, but yeah, they were awesome.
