Zack Snyder reprising as director and David S. Goyer repeating as screenwriter. Goyer’s deal is part of a huge 3-picture deal he signed at Warner Bros for Man Of Steel, the sequel, and Justice League with Superman. What is a question mark next time is the role Christopher Nolan will fill.
....
Meanwhile, fanboys are speculating who’ll be the villain/s in the Man Of Steel sequel: Brainiac, Bizarro, Metallo, Doomsday, Darkseid, other?
Well that was fast
i have no doubt that man of steel is going to be an excellent film.
My money is on Braniac being the next villain.

I would pin him more on the Justice League movie more because he is a trump villain who can fuck up everyone's day.
I don't mind, I know it's going to be a good movie, KNOW, plus the superman storyline basically calls for a sequel.

I dunno, Braniac was a Superman villain for a long time though. Darkseid would work better in a Justice League movie IMO.
It would be great if the villain in the next Superman movie was some extremely rich guy that Superman hears is trying to take over an entire city and Superman goes there to fight him and it turns out it was Bruce Wayne doing some stuff to make it easier to fight crime as Batman. That's how Superman and Batman meet.
Then the movie turns into Worlds Finest and they have to stop the Joker from performing boners.
But this is Zack Snyder we're talking about here.
Watchmen,
Dawn of the Dead
and
Today I went to the local mall to mess around with friends. All of the sudden a woman approaches us asking if we want to watch the premiere of man of steel. Got to watch it for free with 8 friends.
Edit-I just want to mention that the movie was amazing. Superman is made more human than any previous film incarnation so you end up actually being able to feel for the guy.
Suckerpunch.
Yeah
he's a decent director, but if he doesn't have a good script to go off of his movies are mostly mediocre flashy cinematography that everyone goes all nuts about.
And Dawn of the Dead snyder is a different snyder than who we see today
I hope they do something at the end of the credits like the Marvel films if they're going into the Justice League, I'd be bold enough to say that a full blown Justice League movie wouldn't really need character origins like the Marvel films though because the average person can pick up characters along the way and the majority of them are well enough known by the average joe. I like the idea of Superman being introduced to the Daily Planet as Clark Kent, and as he prepares to go home late at night a voice comes from the door way.
"That was quite some event last week, huh?"
"Excuse me?"
"The existence of aliens used to be something only crackpots and kids believed in. Now it's irrefutable fact. Trust me, this world's about to get a lot stranger."
"I'm sorry who are you?"
"Detective John Jones. And I urgently need to talk to the Superman."
"I can't help you".
"No Kal-El..."
John Jones shifts to his Martian form J'onn J'onzz.
"You can help me."
So the Justice League HAS been green lit?
Now where's my fucking Flash movie.
I would pin him more on the Justice League movie more because he is a trump villain who can fuck up everyone's day.
As long as he makes it to the big screen one day. I hope they go with the more robotic interpretations.

My feeling is DC/Warners won't copy Marvel's approach. I don't think we're going to see a bunch of individual movies AND Justice League. What I think will happen is they will use Superman and Batman movies to introduce the side characters, and they will all be in the JL movie. The reasoning being Superman and Batman movies are guaranteed to bring in the audience, which makes it very easy to introduce new DC characters to moviegoers.
Remember that no one in the general movie audience knew who or what the hell an 'Iron Man' was. Marvel had to introduce all those characters first, then do their big movie. DC's one advantage is they have two big name characters everyone knows already. I'd even go so far as to say Wonder Woman is equally well known.
It's my understanding that they will at least do a Flash, Wonder Woman, and Justice League Dark movie. Now whether they come out before or after the Justice League movie is up to the studio but obviously JLD would be after.
We need Doomsday.

You'll believe a man can die?
Stop announcing sequels too early!

Dude.
Its Superman.
Honestly I never cared for superman, he's probably the least interesting superhero out there. AKA the whole stereotypical "womanizing ideal-man super hero with pretty much no downside except some space rock" thing.

I'm guessing Superman has the same problems that Dr. Manhatten in Watchmen had, so there are more problems Supes has to worry about than a space rock. People don't trust a man that is essentially God.

Well.
And other Kryptonians.
And anything as strong as him.
Or stronger than him.
See: Zod, Darkseid, Martian Manhunter, Doomsday, Green Lantern, etc.
why doesnt superman just kill everyone so he doesnt have to save them??

'Womanizing' would also change depending on what version he's talking about. Superman has plenty to worry about, more than us mortals.
why doesnt superman just kill everyone so he doesnt have to save them??
Why doesn't he just put the whole world in a bottle?
Plus, I don't think there are a lot of superheroes out there that are too similar to Superman. Powers and character wise.
with pretty much no downside except some space rock" thing.
I know, I never took Superman to be a Hawkwind fan either.

you just haven't seen good adaptations of him or read good comics of him, most adaptations (which is where most people learn about superheroes) are so hilariously bad. Try Superman the Animated series from the 90's idk
Also his other weakness are red sun light (can be reproduced via technology) and magic
God damn these comic book reboots have got to burn out sooner or later.
Never been a fan of the entire Superman concept. Woohoo it's a perfect invulnerable person who can pretty much do everything with no problems whatsoever. Boooring.

He can't do everything and the fact that he has so many powers but yet sometimes being completely unable to do anything was always a major idea for many many years. The 'invulnerable' levels also fluctuated over the decades.
