Well. This exists.

What the fuck this is a thing?
As much as Jim makes this out to be the end of privacy and the beginning of an Orwellian nightmare, I think it's just gonna be one of those apps that gets a lot of buzz initially but will eventually fade from popularity in a matter of months

This could get big though.
This has the potential to be something good but it could also be absolutely horrible.
In Canada we had to pass a law against employers demanding Facebook passwords. I could easily see private companies, progressive hate mobs and governments getting behind this.
so how do you violate the Peeples terms of service.
because i wouldn't mind doing that to never be on this site.
Well I just deactivated my Facebook, something I should of done a long time ago.
he's right that it is concerning but i'd rather focus on how dumb of an idea the app is fundamentally given that the vast majority usage will be shitposts by dumb upset people like himself
his other videos are all about ranting about the evil feminist sjws for ten minutes at a time
he's a big whiny ball of mad
oh god this is horrible
this can't make it, this has to die
this is legit scary, I KNOW I have people who want to actually hurt me irl and I don't want my name to be anywhere that this accessible... Oh my god I am kinda freaking out about this shit.

Certain posters on fp would probably target people as well.
Guess all you can do is fight fire with fire.
This will definitely do more bad than good :v: People will get violent.
I wouldn't worry about this if I were you guys. Once these kind of stunts get pointed out (like so), they usually end up getting torn down by the public. This is too much of a step over the line for people to accept it.
People would much rather cover their own ass that cause harm to someone else's. Contrary to popular belief.
cool, so I can basically avoid anyone who uses this. no problem.
"If you haven't registered for the site and can't contest negative reviews, your profile only displays positive reviews"
Sounds fair enough but could still be abused.
Anyway, overall I think the idea is interesting. However, if you're judging someone you don't know based on the opinions of other people you also don't know, then I don't really see much value in any information gained from the app. But, it works for TripAdvisor/Yelp/etc. so maybe it would work?
i can easily see that being "rated positive - this guy is a piece of shit disregard my rating"
Yeah exactly what I was thinking. And the only way to report that would be to sign in, thereby allowing the negative reviews to show up.
it wouldn't be bad if you could only see reviews from people on your friends list

True, just like Jim said, this has some very nasty potential. I'm just hoping it won't come to that.
things are popping up that this whole peeple thing is most likely a hoax

It's honestly the shittiest idea ever and I don't think anyone will even use it. I can find pretty much nobody who wants this to be a thing. With any sense it'll get banned from any App store if not hopefully banned from being able to exist. I mean it literally is just the idea that hey, let's just kill privacy altogether. I hope this shit is just fake. Funny thing is I don't think the creators are going to have very well rated Peeple profiles.
I guess, suppose I get raped, now my rapist could go on my profile - that I didn't make - and leave shit on it about me for being a "bad friend." Hell, I suppose anyone could make up anything about me because why the fuck not. Genius idea. I feel like this is one of those things that is so blatantly awful and so massively rejected that it's just going to be shit out as an idea. I mean is Google really going to go up and say "Yes, this belongs on the app store! Fuck actually everyone!"
if you had to make an account to rate and post comments then not many people would use it except for the biggest of sociopaths
all normies know that shit talking is only viable when you're anonymous
What world am I living in?
The guy is right this sounds like a twighlight zone episode.

kill yourself and you won't have to live in it anymore
[editline]2063[/editline]
case in point: i would (sometimes) never say this to a person in real life but as cdr i can do anything
(User was banned for this post ("You can do anything. You can be banned for anything too. Don't tell people to kill themselves." - Seiteki))
this guy is a giant cunt but he has a point for once
I reluctantly agree with this video, this is pretty scary

If it isn't just vaporware/a Jimmy Kimmel-style hoax you can bet your ass they're going to be facing multitudes of defamation suits.
What strikes me the most about how this app is disturbing is the fact that if it isn't used to just bash people you know outright and become a plague for teenage gossip and bullying, it will at inspire some one to make another app just like Peeple for that purpose. Kind of like how Yeti is a Snapchat clone made for the soul excuse for college students to post tits, drugs and alcohol.
I'd rather be anonymous and famous and receive endless death threats on my life, than to have no privacy and be famous, and receive actual legitimate threats on my life
having no privacy is in no way "Being protected" at all. If anything it does exactly the opposite. Only an idiot would think everyone on the internet should have everything open and public.
This is the stupidest video I've watched in a while. You don't need a specific app to slander people you can do it the old fashioned way. Anyone who would believe any of the shit they see on peeple wouldn't be someone who's opinion I'd care about. This isn't going to be the end of anonymity or privacy or free speech, in fact it's another facet of free speech, the right to talk shit about other people. But no, let's continue freaking out about everything that we see as negative and acting like we're the only one with all the answers and everyone else is an unthinking sheep. The person who made this fucking video is rapidly approaching Alex Jones tier conspiracy theorist.

Idiots are plentiful unfortunately.

It probably will, but the entire concept that this is not only legal, but also government fucking funded really deserves outrage. We cannot let this happen.
