Gary Jules - Mad World (Full cover with vocals, violins and rock solo/part) - General

this is probably the gayest series of thoughts i've ever had but you have a voice and you have the basics of control down, but this song might be a little too.. painful for you to express. i mean, you technically hit the notes, and i definitely got the vibe (like you nailed it vocally and with expressions and whatnot), but i didn't like, feel your pain man. i guess that isn't very helpful, but i didn't feel like you were expressing the unconscious pain of a miscarriage or the people you know dying or anything, i felt like you were expressing the unconscious pain of trying to sing mad world convincingly, which was about half as good. (and a million times better than anyone i know who would have the balls to attempt this kind of song)

Your comment on it is pretty good in my opinion, I know exactly what you mean and I just now realized that I did not really focus on emotions since I wanted to get this done or else it would die on my hdd like many other side projects. Will remember your words! My EP will have these emotions because I am not trying to copy anybody, I sing out of my heart there for sure! Thanks for reminding me!

Thanks for reminding me![/QUOTE] i habeeb it completely. being good at vocally covering other peoples works is a totally fucking different skill from singing. i mean at some stages they can overlap and help eachother and stuff but you know what i mean.

That solo at the end is fucking great

Yea I don't like how I sound here aswell, I sing way more emotional and better on my own songs :smile: I am thankful that you did listen to it till the end even if my voice wasn't that good sounding to you. What did you especially like on the last part? solo? the crusty voice?
