Sounds like a student had a beef with that specific professor if nobody else has been injured. Wouldn't really call it a school shooting, just a murder.

Sounds more like a simple murder than the spree shooting it's reported as.

I don't really know why people are associating the word shooter with spree. Murdering someone with a gun makes you a shooter. At the time of this article going up the body was just discovered and the suspect was believed to be hiding on campus.

Apparently Shannon Lamb, a geography instructor at Delta State has been identified by police as a person of interest. Gautier MS and DSU are 6 hours away, would be weird to connect them. If they are connected, however, I wonder why he murdered someone in Gautier and moved on up to DSU and shot the place up, even since he's a professor.
