parrots are awesome but when they get really good at talking, it gets really creepy.
The parrot has actually just been driven insane from the owners telling it to say this and do that. This is video evidence of the trauma that the parrot is reliving. We must put it down.
Do they understand what they're saying, though?
That was awesome.
The hell, is it going "*clicking* Squirrel" or Squirtle. Either way it's awesome and kinda creepy at the same time. If only parrots knew what they were saying, they'd have world domination in the bag by now.
That is actually kinda creepy.
Personally i prefer this parrot
We have an african grey too, 2 years old. They can live up to 40 years and are pretty much the most intelligent parrot species that exist.
Laughing guy for the win.
Do they understand what they're saying, though?
I think some can be trained to imitate certain sounds in accordance to stimuli, I.E., imitating a yawn when they wake up, saying "hello" to people, etc. So they might understand on some level, but not quite on the scale people can.
My bird only imitates when it wants something :colbert:
