A project I began a few weeks ago.

Made entirely out of MDF.

Work in progress. 'Done when it's done' - hopefully by the 26th of August.

This thread will document the process of taking a sculpture from a drawing/sketch to hanging it on the wall. I will use several tools to mock-up the work and lay out the plans.

I'll be updating this when I can.

I've got a post-apocalyptic steampunk-styled water-purification ring (jewellery piece) to make and a bunch of drawings due next week but I'll try to keep this thread current.

I know what you mean.

When I look at the figure in the chair I see somebody who is a USER of the machine, as opposed to somebody being 'operated on' by the machine. If I can rework the shape of the chair and the position that the figure is in whilst bound to the chair then I might revert to it!

Also a quick update - I bogged some holes today and will be undercoating it tomorrow, getting the rest painted and put together on wednesday and thursday and hanging it up on Friday. Photos as they happen.

you could use a dentists chair as inspiration, it definitely wouldn't give a vibe of control over the machinery
