• Black holes may all contain other universes
It's mind blowin' time! According to a new theory, every black hole contains a smaller alternate universe. And our universe might just exist inside a black hole in a much larger universe. Ah-whaaaaaa? According to Indiana University physicist Nikodem Poplawski, the matter that black holes absorb don't condense into singularities. Instead, they pop out the other side and become the building blocks for whole other universes in another reality. This would explain what happened before our Big Bang: it popped out of a black hole from another, much larger universe. Everything came out of a "white hole," if you will.
Gamma ray bursts occur at the fringes of the known universe. They appear to be associated with supernovae, or star explosions, in faraway galaxies, but their exact sources are a mystery. (Related: "Gamma-Ray Burst Caused Mass Extinction?") Poplawski proposes that the bursts may be discharges of matter from alternate universes. The matter, he says, might be escaping into our universe through supermassive black holes-wormholes-at the hearts of those galaxies, though it's not clear how that would be possible. "It's kind of a crazy idea, but who knows?" he said.

http://gizmodo.com/5516963/black-holes-may-all-contain-other-universes A universe in a universe huh...
thats scary...
I'm pretty sure I've heard this theory before, or at least something very similar.
Maybe not a singularity, but I'm pretty sure a black hole is going to fuck you up either way. Also, this theory seems to have very little to base itself upon. I don't believe it yet. Try again when you have more evidence author of this article.
science fuck yea
It sounds stupid. It's possible that black holes can pinch through another universe (if there was one), but this just reminds me of that Church of the Children of Atom in FO3 also, i swear, if you post that fucking image
Thats a interesting theory.
That breaks the laws of thermodynamics.
So it doesn't crush us into a singularity, it simply rips us apart into our simplest forms and spits us out. Wait does that mean that we're all made of crushed up dead aliens.
That breaks the laws of thermodynamics.
the laws of thermodynamics break down around singularities.
So it doesn't crush us into a singularity, it simply rips us apart into our simplest forms and spits us out. Wait does that mean that we're all made of crushed up dead aliens.
If aliens exist in this previous universe, and enter the black hole, yes. However, this idea doesn't make any sense.
That breaks the laws of thermodynamics.
Not really, the matter isn't being created/destroyed. It's just coming from another universe, therein it already existed.
It could be possible since Black Holes are infinite and it be structure similarly to an hour glass, but I doubt anything besides pure energy could go between universes.
Yo dawg I heard you like universes so I put a universe in yo universe so you can be in a universe in a universe. (User was banned for this post ("Meme" - Benji))
the laws of thermodynamics break down around singularities.
This is news to me. Source?
That actuallyvmade me laugh
Not really, the matter isn't being created/destroyed. It's just coming from another universe, therein it already existed.
All matter in the universe is constant. As in our universe, so if it leaves through a black hole it's not constant.

what about the theory that atoms contain other universes and that our universe is nothing but another atom in another universe which is but another atom in some other universe and so on and so forth
Not really, the matter isn't being created/destroyed. It's just coming from another universe, therein it already existed.
It's going from a parallel universe to another. That would be breaking the laws because that universe is losing matter. Therefore this is impossible. Mexican beat me to the post because fp went down for me
This is very interesting. The implications would be... Well, too much to handle. I wrote a short story on the subject.
Yo dawg I heard you like universes so I put a universe in yo universe so you can be in a universe in a universe.
you probably should have just put the image because i stopped laughing immediately when i saw that you wrote it out
what about the theory that atoms contain other universes and that our universe is nothing but another atom in another universe which is but another atom in some other universe and so on and so forth
Have you been watching Men in Black again?
Imagine your presence in a universe causing it to be "sucked" toward you and to destroy thousands of galaxy to be destroyed by your sheer presence. Small universes, yeah.

oh god they all look like Advance Wars color swaps
Holy shit this is interesting.
not knowing shit about what lies within our universe scares me and confuses the fuck out of me.
SO....we may be in a blackhole, which is in a universe that has other black holes, each one being it's own separate universe, each one having black holes of their own...each black hole having a universe that has even more black holes...
thats actually kinda cool so instead of being crushed to death we would go to a different universe.... huh...
so wait if we're in a black hole ourselves... could we just disappear at any minute if that black hole were to die?
