I hope they don't have [B]That Guy[/B] training with them. You know the guy who says he's protected by a invulnerable force shield.
Old video. I don't understand how they are [I]that[/I] poor. Bullets aren't prohibitively expensive even for dirt poor nations. If you want real training that will be worth anything you need to shoot the guns...
I remember reading that the US military does this too to save some ammunition. The drill sergeants don't take kindly to hearing "pew pew" though.
When I watched that VICE documentary about Mali I saw troops that fired their Ak47's sideways with one hand.

Now, in the big Army, if we have no money to use we just set up tents or go to the EST range, which is a pretty cool simulator thing that is much cheaper than using live ammo.
