picture is too big to view propely, scale it down to 1500x something
face proportions are awfully off,
helmet is bent on the left side,
The ring on top is supposed to be over not under the rest of the helmet. The cross goes over the ring on top of the helmet.
Neck is tad too thick. Right shoulder is incredebly lazily made, and pose make him look like he was caugh masturbating. Add more dynamic to the arrow, it looks like it's been there for a few hours, waiting for the blood to catch up. Add some broken chainmail pieces or something.
The top of the helmet looks like there's water in it. use sharper brushes.
And something positive so Id on't get tagged as an asshole:
I like the colour palette and the solution for chainmail, even tough the latter one needs improvement.
hair is also well done.
enjoying the tablet you got for christmas?
I thought the weird disproportion was part of the style. Or maybe he just can't draw I dunno, I'm no expert.
Even the most stylised drawings still follow rules of proportion.

I didn't get anything for christmas so poor I gotta wait till tax season :3
I do agree with all ur gripes Especially the one about the arrow and the helmet.
Hmm weird disproportion is a combination of me NEVER drawing bodys or anything realistic and my style. I have a cartoony style.

Yeah, I need way more practice you know any good sites with tips or something like that. (I know most the skill comes from practice and not reading tuts)

So explain their proportions then
Sure their proportions may be correct , but they are correct only because they are relative to the other (wrong) proportions in their character.
Though I agree that this specific drawing is not proportional, not all things have to be in proportion to look good.
...proportion.
Do they look wrong? No. Well, somewhat. they still follow some rules. relative to eachother.

He probably meant the "main" proportions, such as the symmetry and the facts like the hands don't go below the thigh level
[editline]08:32PM[/editline]
Anyways, I didn't read anything in this thread including that post
btw, I dig the beard/moustache quality :buddy:
The only thing that really bugs me is the use of that texture or whatever you'd call it for his chainmail (ringmail? scalemail?) it just seems like you'd do such an awesome piece if you put the effort into drawing and shading each individual link, although that would be the most tedious thing in the world probably...

In fact, that follows most proportions. Look at the chin of all characters (except the dad who are supposed to have a large chin) - the mouth is placed so that from the nose down it is placed at 1/3rd of the jaw area. Just in all these kinda areas, the hands, the eyes, the face, the legs and arms, they're all proportioned correctly - although some are exagurated absurdly, like the dads legs, but they still follow the proportions of the legs in the way how joints and size of legs are made and placed.
The bodies are all proportioned, some of their heads are aswell, while others got a more stylized look with a bit bigger head - which is intended because it's meant to be cartoony.

The helmet cutting over the boring arrow, and the chainmail and the guys nose all BOTHER me.
Drawing and shading each link would TAKE FOREVER and sense the quality of my drawings isnt good It would be a waste of my time.
I don't see anything wrong with the face proportions besides the iris, chin length/mouth position, and eyebrows. Can anyone explain?
Well if you want the list:
Eyes are too high, not leaving much room for the brain and everything important up there, right now either eyes are too close or too big. Mouth is too up, it should be inbetween chin and nose.
Chin is too big or manly.
And as you said, iris is like 50% of what it should be.
this explains and containts alot of cool info:
