Omar Mohammed, a shy, 24-year-old goldsmith from Syria with spiky black hair and almond-shaped eyes, said he's attracted to German women, with their Nordic looks and punctuated accents. But they remain a mystery to him, and he has no idea how to approach them. "It's hard to meet a girl when you don't speak the language well and can't really talk to them," he said. "There are a lot of differences, not only the culture and religion — we just don't have this total freedom at home." Some German women were receptive to the idea. Jasmin Olbrich, having a quick lunch of French fries at a food truck outside the educational center, said she liked the Middle Eastern looks and complained that German men "drink too much beer, watch way too much soccer and are just so white!" Wenzel usually charges 1,400 euros ($1,500) for a private one-day class, or 4,000 euros for a group. I don't even think she's actually talking entirely about looks though, but is probably just looking for someone "exotic" in behavior too which I would usually call weird since you're just going to find out that brown people are just as boring as white people in person, but oh well. Also by definition IIRC pickup artists usually are described as being very deceptive and somewhat manipulative in their tactics. There's a difference between being a PUA and somebody who has a lot of sex & relationships.

I'm sure there are plenty of pick up artists that are legitimately nice people, who just want to help others with shit they've probably struggled with themselves. Sounds like the guy from the article is giving out free classes for these refugees, for example (though check out how much he charges normally) But the not-so-nice ones have a much easier time. The market that PUAs cater to is lonely, vulnerable, and has a skewed view of relationships. I mean, how could you not, if you've never been in one? Or if all the ones you've been in fell apart? The point is, if it's already easy to sell to these people, then imagine if what you're selling is flashy, charming and nicely packaged pick-up tricks? What do you think appeals to a larger audience: nuanced propositions that dive deep into the world of relationships and explain things at length, or The One Trick That Will Make Her Fall In Love With You (Click Here to Find Out)? Content that is easy to produce and easy to consume will always dominate the market, and that's why PUAs get a bad rep. People think of them as superficial and egotistical because that's exactly what most of them are, or at least pretend to be, in order to bait people who don't know better into following disingenuous advice.

Skin colour is a preference just like hairy vs not hairy, big vs small breasts/butt, straight vs curly hair.

Well, this is better then just another article about "THOSE REFUGEES DON'T ADJUST TO OUR SOCIETY" since it actually tries to improve the situation rather then just complaining
