Some are a bit blurry because it was extremely windy up there. http://filesmelt.com/dl/Skyscraper_Photographs.rar 50MB ----------------------------- Here's another urbex thread. Yep, another one. This time I did a proper urbex (abandoned building) rather than a boring (they're not actually boring) skyscraper which is still being built. This building I went to yesterday is being prepared for demolition I think, so it won't be around for much longer. It's in a fantastic spot for views of St Paul's Cathedral and the ongoing rebuilding of Cannon Street Underground Station (which isn't as fantastic as St Paul's). After gaining access to this building (with great difficulty) we started climbing, only to find that we were on the wrong tower which only had about 6 floors. We then had to go all the way back down to the ground floor. Concrete floor was flaking up here, huge brown puddle in the middle of the room This gives you a good idea as to how high we were. Not very, basically. After being in the wrong tower, we headed back down and found an underground car park. Nice little river going down the ramp. Top level balcony thing. (the tower on the left of this is the second tower) On the right of this picture is where we were trying to get to (we had to go through some maintenance access thingy, it was very dark.) From here onwards we were at the top! Shard is a big tower being built to look like a large shard of glass. The concept looks cool, can't wait to urbex that later on next year. I think this is asbestos pipe insulation. The London Eye was lit up in rainbow colours that evening, but it's not clear in this picture because of the slow shutter speed. Do you usually go alone or with people?
Nice!

You're really good at UrBex.
Do you usually go alone or with people?
I've never done urbex alone, I usually do it with the person I was with in this one.
To be honest, I would have chosen one or two of your favourites to post. One great picture of the cathedral would have more impact than lots of different variations. Looks like you had fun though. I really want to do some urbex in the future.

I'd definitely be up for coming on the next URBEX trip. Probably bring a mate along who'd be interested as well!
I wish I could do Urbex where I live.. [editline]04:41PM[/editline] Also, sell these pictures: couple of hundred bucks.
Beautiful pics! Always having alot of fun reading Urbex themed threads.
God dammit I want to go to London sometime.
God dammit I want to go to London sometime.
You should, it's a very interesting place with a great night life.
It's cool how the empire has a white house with a cross on it. It just proves god is beneath all our great fortune.
You're amazing! I'd like to be able to do this in my city. It really is awesome! P.S.: I wouldn't have been able to resist the fire extinguisher...
You spent the night in the thing?
Well crap there's nowhere to urbex here.
You spent the night in the thing?
Went up there at about 8pm and came down at 10:30, so no, we were up there for about 2 and a half hours. If you're asking because of the couple of shots near the end which look like they were taken in the morning, it's because I used a 30 second shutter speed and very high exposure.
Thanks for taking actually interesting photos this time.
Great sniper vantage points

We'd have to bring a tinderbox and an axe, so we could fell the odd tree here and there and have a campfire. It's my dream to do that.
That's pretty cool, wish I could do this sometime.
We'd have to bring a tinderbox and an axe, so we could fell the odd tree here and there and have a campfire. It's my dream to do that.
Sounds like someone likes runescape.
Sounds like someone likes runescape.
Tea, a tinderbox is just a little box with kindling, a flint and stuff. I got a flint that hooks onto a necklace sort of thing, so we'd only need a tinderbox to keep the kindling dry :( I don't like Runescape and I haven't played it for years. Don't be nasty :(
Yeah well I've got a level 40 ranged.

the cityscape looks nice except for the stupid abstract egg tower
the cityscape looks nice except for the stupid abstract egg tower
huh
