I just finished watching the entirety of the Omen series and I absolutely loved it. So much, that I was actually kind of [sp]sad when Damien died in the third installment[/sp]. In the past, I've also seen Hannibal Rising. What I'd like is to watch more movies that have evil main characters, so I'd like to hear your suggestions. I'm sick of watching the typical good-guy-wins trash. Here's a rock version of 'Ave Satani' for your time.

The proper term is Antihero or Villain Protagonist.
Patrick Bateman from American Psycho comes to my mind.
Wasn't there already a thread on this a while back?

Another word for Antihero is a Byronic Hero- used when Antihero is simply too negative a word.
Deadpool in the comics is an awesome one. I read that they're making a Deadpool movie. Can't wait to see how that works out.
Well this is kind of different to antihero. An antihero is defined by a protagonist who does not have heroic qualities. You wouldn't call Wikus from District 9 a villain. But he is defined as an antihero.
a clockwork orange
american psycho
bad lieutenant
carrie
despicable me
four lions
in bruges
lord of war
megamind
natural born killers
pulp fiction
rubber
the departed
the shining
there will be blood
Does Megamind count?
Rusty mentioned the only movies like this that I know of, but if a TV show counts, Breaking Bad.
My Bloody Valentine counts, I guess.
Scarface? The godfather? Most crime films.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil

Perfume
Goodfellas
The Ladykillers
Hitman
American History X
V for Vendetta
Resevoir Dogs
Kill Bill
First Blood
Inception
Inception isn't one of them. Cobb may be a conman, but he's just a trustbuster trying to save the world from being ruled by a large energy corporation. Its' the governments job to do what he does, except on an international scale.

Wait, HE is the bad guy?

Reservoir Dogs doesn't really count, since the main character is an [sp]undercover cop[/sp].
Kill Bill and First Blood don't have evil protagonists.
V for Vendetta... depends on how you look at it. V does however fight for freedom of the people, so I think he counts as a good guy.
Sort of Day of the Dead, Captain Rhodes is one of the protagonists

To add to this I'm not sure I'd count American History X either. The guy is a white supremacist at the start of the film, but as time goes on you see how he was misguided when he was younger, and in the end he gets out of it and tries to stop his younger brother going down the same path. Not really what I'd consider an evil character.

I think he could give two shits less whether he was saving the world or actually helping a corporation to rule the world. He only cared about getting back to his children.

And to think that he was willing to go through all of that for them. Saving the world's energy from total corporation control and also saving his wife from becoming stuck in Limbo forever. I think he is no less a hero than the likes of Superman.
You could say Godzilla. He sought revenge on humanity in the first, and sort-of became a protector in the later ones.
Fight Club..?

Tarantino's character got more screentime than Mr. Blue, though.
He was only shown in the meeting.
Does Falling Down count here
also titanic, the main character is titanic because the movies name is titanic. why else would it be titanic?
an evil ship kills everyone who is inside it with a mass suicide
and also titanic is in the movie whole time you just have to look closely!
I don't visit Facepunch all that often, so I didn't really think to look for a similar thread. Nevertheless, thank you all for your responses.

The humans need unobtainium so they save their dying homeworld but the navi are a bunch of assholes who won't let them have it because of the hivemind that rules their planet

He was the main villain.
