People in Binzhou, a small village located at Shandong Province East China region, were stealing natural gas from an oil well. An oil well is designed to acquire petroleum oil through the earth’s surface. Usually some natural gas is produced along with the oil. The poor villagers used huge plastic bags to inflate it with the natural gas, and carried it home. It is so damn dangerous like carrying a “bombs” home. If someone light up a cigarette during half way on the road … Boom ! We are wondering how the villagers going to keep those gas while they get back to home. Two more pictures after the break.

Smart
How safe.
how exactly are they gonna get the gas in a pressurized tank so they can actually use it?
The environment looks pretty destroyed there... just sayin...
It's going to be the brightest idea if they catch a stray spark.
Dem Chinese
I swear...

Those damn Chinese, pirating everything. This is why we need to increase copyright measures!
What are you guys talking about? It just looks like a littered area in the winter.

Also, hardly stealing if its just released into the atmosphere
Holy crap that place looks like a wasteland, everything is dead and gray.
Most of northern China is similar to that in the winter actually.
I was expecting a bunch of Chinese using grocery bags.
It's...creative, I guess? Obviously about as safe as dumping gas on yourself and walking around with a lit cigarette, but...damn, I didn't realize it was that bad over there. I mean, I knew the situation in China wasn't good, but this...

it looks pretty like winter
Is natural gas lighter than air?
it looks pretty like winter
I was just going to say. Winter here looks exactly the same. Mostly shades of brown and yellow and grey.
That seems kinda obvious to be walking around with a giant blue sausage, unless people don't give a shit I don't see how they're not getting caught.
Even if this is a pretty dumb thing to do, at least it prevents the gas from being released into the atmosphere.
Okay, so they are stealing it... what are they doing with once they get it back to their house? Lighting it on fire in a massive firey explosion? Storing it would seem pretty difficult unless they can hook up a compressor to that plastic bag and get it in a pressure tank.

everyday we steal air from glorious government
we should be put in prison for our crimes
That's low pressure gas. It won't explode how the article says but still more then enough to keep a camp stove lit.
I'm sure there are ways of pressurizing it, and if they didn't know how to do so, why would they be stealing it in the first place?
They were smart enough to think of the balloons in the first place, let's give them a bit more credit.
they could be using it for personal usage. Rig up some sort of hose to the end and use it for heating.
Looks like a vaporizer bag
Seems like a load of hot [del]air[/del] gas to me.
Pirating gas?

It comes out of nature, if I find a stone in the grassy area nearby does it mean I'm a thief and I need to be hunted down for stealing a rock?

It has no effect at all.
Ah, the gene pool, always cleansing itself.

You wouldn't download natural gas
