Briefly: Disney CEO Bob Iger just announced that Pixar will release Toy Story 4 in June 2017. John Lasseter will return to direct. We’ll have more soon.
Source
no.
are you fucking kidding me the ending of toy story 3 was literally perfect
the short toy story movies they put out on ABC are cool i dont see a problem here
Why do you insist on milking it, let it die already! Like the above post said, toy story 3 had a good ending.
I'm not sure how they can top Toy Story 3 which ended on a high note.
I thought they were going to keep the Toy Story franchise to holiday specials from now on. Glad to see they are doing more with the characters though.
why
Awww, do we have to? Toy Story 3 wrapped everything up so nicely.
so instead of making incredibles 2, which would literally sell itself, they're milking series that should have ended already
why
$$$$$$$$$$$ [editline]6th November 2014[/editline] $$$
TS 3 ended perfectly too!
so instead of making incredibles 2, which would literally sell itself, they're milking series that should have ended already
Disney
I think the saddest part is, where can it go from here? Just have that girl grow up and have the same exact movie again? The only real new direction would be if the toys themselves get replaced as they are "old". To be a symbolism about things like being out of place, out of scene, or being old/unwanted. But one can argue TS3 already did this anyway.
Have they ran out of new ideas
so instead of making incredibles 2
But they are as well.
Disney. Disney stop. Didney Pls.
They are making Incredibles 2.
Not fast enough :(
so instead of making incredibles 2, which would literally sell itself, they're milking series that should have ended already
Incredibles 2 wouldn't sell itself, though (well, it'd most likely turn a profit, but Toy Story would do more so). It was never as popular as Toy Story, though I think it's the best film Pixar has ever put out.
Andy makes poor lifestyle choices and devolves into a large manchild and makes it his goal to steal his toys back from a happy little girl and ends up in a jail cell. Meanwhile, Woody, Buzz and company have to make a daring escape from an evidence locker.
Pixar's doing really bad right now to be honest. They're in a bit of a rut, relying on existing IPs and not really developing new ones. I liked TS3, but it really didn't have the same early Pixar feeling that made me love the first two. I love Toy Story to death, it's my personal favorite movie franchise (it made my childhood), and any full-length Toy Story they make now will only damage the flawlessness of the trilogy.

Oh God, that joke from Muppets Most Wanted was TRUE!
Well... fine... bollocks to you!

Inside Out is one of them: But I do agree that a new Toy Story is bad given the perfectness of the ending of the last one.

I would be angry if it weren't for the fact that John Lasseter is making it.
