Crytek's dormant first-person shooter series not coming back anytime soon, developer confirms.
TimeSplitters 4 is not in development, series shop Crytek confirmed to CVG today. The developer told the site plainly, "No, it's not in development."
TimeSplitters 4 was announced in 2007, and developer Free Radical (now Crytek UK) promised it would offer "heart-pounding, hot, sweaty action."
Last June, a source said TimeSplitters 4 was not only in development, but being planned to ship for Microsoft's next-generation Xbox, with an unveil planned for the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The TimeSplitters first-person shooter franchise has been dormant since 2005's TimeSplitters: Future Perfect for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube.
God damnit, I thought they were on to this
Good because if ea touches it its gonna rape it.
But I wonder why the fuck we still don't have pc ports of those games.
Many sads.
Who thought it was?
FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
my hype has been assasinated and buried in a random field
I still haven't seen a game that has animations on par with the timesplitters series.

Read the post?
I'd prefer if they make TimeSplitters 4 instead of Crysis 3.
:(
:c
:C
TS3 was in 2005...
It has been a long time

Its been a longer wait then half life!
God damnit :(
This is seriously one of my most played and most loved game series ever and I would like a new entry already in the HD era :(
Fuck Crysis... I want to shoot monkeys with a rocket launcher and throw bricks at futuristic robots in a chinese hotel in glorious 1080p already :(
Well that is just lame as fuck.
and my simple response is.............WHY THE FUCK NOT!? seriously they have a huge winner on they're hands, how stupid can they be.
That's a shame, I still play the 2nd and 3rd even to this day :(

18. If there was enough interest would you guys ever consider re-releasing any TimeSplitters games in HD for Xbox Live or PSN?
Stay tuned...
Not TS4 but for the past games.
Interpret that as you wish, they have a habit of being all implicative like that only to yield nothing, so don't get to optimistic.
They should do an HD Collection release with online play.
I could probably die happy if they did that. Or atleast lonely, I put so much time into 2 & 3.

Big for them, "big" for us.
Even a fat man's dick is bigger than C3...
D:
man i love this series, hope they do make another eventually.
why is hoodoo rating everything dumb
it's not like there's even a disagreeable matter here
I just hope they hold on to it and don't pass it onto another developer who will slap a price on additional characters. One of the best bits of about Timesplitters was the amount of work put into each of the huge selection of characters.
I'd at least like a PC port of the original three, even if they aren't going to do another.
It's a lie.
It's going to ship tomorrow, and be in stores next week.
My friend has a cousin who's father has a brother who'se uncle has a bro that owns Crytek.

Atelast it says anytime soon instead of never ever.
Well thanks for buying it so you could just not do anything with it.
Feels like an eternity since I first got the third one, a few months after they announced development and after a period of time there was nothing said so it was fairly obvious.
This isn't really news at all since nobody was given a hint that a fourth would be made.
